Silent as the Grave



Supplies

1 tube of your choice - I used the awesome artwork of Michael Calandra at MPT
Font of Choice - I used Merced here
Vix PSP Mask 393 here

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the Original.
Resize all layers 130%
Image/Canvas Size
700 X 700
OK
New Raster layer.
Flood fill white and send to bottom.
Delete the credit layer.

Highlight Copy of Slats layer.
Click on each line with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Copy of Rectangles layer.
Click on each rectangle with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Copy of Circle 1 layer.
Merge Down.
Both Circles should be on one layer.
Use your Magic Wand and click on both Circles.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 6.
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 3.
New Raster layer below your new circle frames.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Jeweled Border 1 as a new layer.
Resize 50%/Move into position below the frame of the top circle.
Paste Jeweled Border 1 again.
Resize 50%/Move into Position below the frame of the bottom circle.
Selections/Invert
Highlight each of the element layers and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Copy of Circle Swirl 1 layer.
Merge Down.
Both Circle Swirl layers should be on one layer now.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 3.
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer below the new frame you just made.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Skull 1 as a new layer.
Resize 45%
Move into position below the frame of the largest circle of the swirl layer - it will be slightly bigger than the frame and that’s ok! We’ll take care of that later.
Duplicate/Resize 90% /Move beneath the next Swirl Frame.
Duplicate/Resize 90%/Move beneath the next Swirl Frame.
Keep repeating this process until you have a skull beneath each circle.

Paste the skull again.
Resize 45%/Mirror
Repeat the above step with the top set of circle swirls.

Merge Visible all skull layers.
Highlight the paper of the circle swirls.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Highlight the merged skull layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Rename Skulls
Close the layer out for now.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize so that the face will fit snugly into the largest circle of the swirl layer.
Highlight the paper layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selection/Invert
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Repeat the same procedure you did with the skull.
Once you’ve merged visible all tube layers rename it “Face”.

Highlight the Skull layer.
Lower the Opacity to 0.

Highlight the Face layer.
Be sure the Opaicty is set to 100.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Row Stitches: Resize 30%
Ball and Chain Heart: Resize 50%

Highlight your white background.
Select All
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 21 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Copy Merge

~Time to Animate~

Open up Animation Shop
Edit/Paste/As New Animation

Back in PSP.
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 90
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 10
Copy Merge.

Back in AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 80
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 20
Copy Merge

Back in AS
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Back in PSP.
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 70
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 30
Copy Merge

Back in AS
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Back in PSP.
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 60
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 40
Copy Merge

Back in AS
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Back in PSP
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 50
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 50
Copy Merge

Back in AS
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Back in PSP
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 40
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 60
Copy Merge

Back in AS
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Back in PSP
Face Layer: Lower the Opacity to 30
Skull Layer: Bring the Opacity up to 70

Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

You should have 11 frames.
Ctrl + A (to highlight all frames)

Highlight the original frames.
Click on Frame 11.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame

Click on Frame 11.
Animation/Frame Properties

Highlight Frame 22.

Open up a 700 X 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Embelli 2 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move it slightly to the right.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Free rotate left 5 degrees.
Reopen your white background.

Copy and paste Embelli 3 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move it slightly up on your canvas.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Highlight the frame layer/Free Rotate left 5 degrees.
Highlight the paper layer/Free rotate left 5 degrees.
Copy and paste your tube below the frame.
Duplicate/Resize 90%/Move it behind the other tube and over and up just a bit.
Duplicate/Resize 90%/Move it behind the other tube and over and up just a bit.
Selections/Invert
Highlight each of the 3 tube layers and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties on all of the tubes to Luminance Legacy.
Lower the Opacity on the middle and right tube to about 38 or so.

Close out your white background and merged layer.
Merge Visible.
Reopen all layers.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position in front of both frames.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Embellie 19: Resize 40%/Mirror
Embellie 31: Resize 90%/Duplicate/Flip/Mirror
Embellie 45: Resize 30%
Embellie 44
Embellie 41: Resize 30%
Embellie 30: Resize 40%
Embellie 12: Mirror/Flip
Embellie 10: Resize 80
Embellie 7: Resize 40%
Embellie 6: Rsize 40%
Embellie 40: Resize 25% and 80%/Duplicate & resize as you like

Highlight your white background.
Select All
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 85%.

Forget Love



Supplies

2 tubes of your choice - I used the wonderful artwork of PinUpToons at CILM

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 X 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Tag 2 as a new layer.
Duplicate/Mirror
Make your Selection Tool active and section out the right side of the tag:



Tap the delete key.
Select None.
Merge Down.
Make your Pick Tool active and push the top down a bit and pull the side out a bit.
Center on your canvas.

Make your Freehand Selection Tool active and trace the inside of the tag:



Copy and paste Melt Chocolate 2 as a new layer.
Resize 80% - Position it over the tag and move slightly to the right.
Paste Melt Chocolate 2 again.
Resize 80% - Align the top of it with the other chocolate element and move it slightly to the left.
Merge down.
Selection/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Frame 2 as a new layer.
Resize 40% - Free rotate right 5 degrees
Paste Frame 2 again.
Resize 50% - Free rotate left 5 degrees
Move both frames into position - see my tag for reference.

Highlight the top frame.
Use your Free hand Selection Tool and outline the frame.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Flood fill with a gradient of choice.
You can give the gradient layer a texture if you choose.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selection/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Merge Visible the frame, gradient layer, and tube.

Highlight the bottom frame.
Repeat the above step using a different tube.

Add your embellishments:
Bow 1: Resize 50%
Shake
Chocolate 20: Resize 50%
Candy 1: Resize
Hershey Kiss 2: Resize 30%
Hershey Kiss 4: Resize 25%
Hershey Kiss 3: Resize 30%
Hershey Kiss 1: Resize 30%
Dragonfly: Resize 25%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 18
OK
Image/Flip
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool to pull the sides out slightly.
Merge Group.

Type out the words:
“Forget Love…” on a new ratser layer.
“I’d rather fall in chocolate” on a new raster layer.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%

Just like the Fairytales



Supplies

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 X 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste FR1 as a new layer.
Resize 35%
Duplicate
Move the frames into position - see my tag for reference.
Free rotate the top frame left 5 degrees
Free rotate the bottom frame right 5 degrees.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move all 3 elements into the exact position.

Highlight the top frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Highlight the bottom frame.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight your tube layer.
Duplicate/Mirror/Move into position behind the top frame.
Duplicate/Move into position behind the bottom frame.
Highlight the paper layer of the bottom frame.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube below the bottom frame.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Highlight the paper of the top frame.
Click anywhere outside of the paper with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube below the top frame.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Element 32 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Free rotate left 65 degrees
Move into position - see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste El 55 as a new layer.
Free rotate right 90 degrees
Resize 63%
Move into position below the clip and be sure the end of the ribbon is aligned with the top of the top frame.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase the part of the ribbon that’s sticking out from the side of the clip.

Add your embellishments. I used:
El 21: Duplicate/Flip
FR 12: Resize 35%/Duplciate
El 13 - Move behind both frames.
El 13 again: Resize 40%
El 91: Resize 30%
El 92; Resize 25% and 80%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Resize all layers 85%

Wish Upon a Star

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 X 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Open up Paper 9.
Use your Selection Tool and form a square in the center of the paper.
In your Color Pallet:
Foreground: Pattern/Use the paper
Background: Null

Set your Width to 15.

Make your canvas active.
Using your Ellipse Tool set on circle draw out a circle approximately 425 X 425.
Give it a slight inner bevel:


Move it just a tad to the right.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Pebble 1 as a new layer.
Resize 25% and 95%
Apply Mura Meister - Copies:
Set on Encircle
Use these settings:



Edit/Copy
Highlight the frame.
Use your Magic Wand and click on it.
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.

Delete the original ring of pebbles as you no longer need them.

Copy and paste Frame 2 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Duplicate/Free rotate left 5 degrees.
Move both frames into position - see my tag for reference.

Highlight the top frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selection/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight the bottom frame.
Repeat the above step using a different tube.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Grass: Keep the size and place behind the frame/Duplicate/Mirror
Grass: Resize 90%/Place behind the bottom frame
Grass: Resize 50%/Place in front of the bottom frame.
Lace 1: Resize 50%/Move to the side a bit/Duplicate/Mirror/Erase what overlaps
Spray: resize 85%
Flower 3: Resize 60%/Free rotate left 45 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
Butterfly 1: Resize 25% and 70%/Free rotate left 35 degrees/Duplicate and/or mirror the butterfly as many times as you like.
Star 1: Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

To add your name on a circular:
In your color pallet:
Forground: Black
Background: Null
Width set to 2.

Make your Ellipse Tool active set on Circle.
Create a circle that’s slightly larger than your circle frame.
Move your curser along the edge of the circle until you see a Rocking A.
Click your mouse.
A Text Box should appear - type your name in it.
OK
Click on the + sign beside your name in the layers palllet.
Close out the New Ellipse layer.
Right Click on Vector 1 layer
Convert to Raster layer.
Give your name a slight inner bevel:


Resize all layers 85%.

Open up the template.
Shift +D.
Close out the Original.
Delete the following layers:
Credit
Diamonds
Maintenance
So High
Pixel Words
Stars
Image/Canvas Size
700 X 700
Flood fill the background layer white.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:



Highlight Glittered Circle 1 layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 25%
OK
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Glittered Circle 2 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Glittered Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Small Rectangle Shapes layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Thin Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Element 4 as a new layer.
Mirror/Move it into position over the circle paper.
Copy and paste Element 11 as a new layer.
Mirror/Resize 60%/Move into Position
Highlight the circle paper layer.
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere outside of it.
Highlight each of the element layers and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Small Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position over the circle layer.
Copy and paste Element 51 as a new layer.
Resize 60%/Move into position
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the element and tube layers and tap the delete key on each.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Hearts layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with a color of choice.
Apply the same noise as used before.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Erase the large heart.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Element 55: Resize 80%
Element 52: Resize 60%/Flip/Mirror/Position over Bottom Circle
Element 52 again: Resize 50%/Flip/Mirror/Position over smallest circle.
Element 20: Duplicate/Mirror
Element 38: Resize 60%
Element 26: Resize 90%
Element 18: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
Element 8: Resize 80%
Element 27: Resize 70%
Element 39: Resize 60%/Mirror

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 130%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Highlight Strips layer.
Click on all of them with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle 1 layer.
Click on both with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste Nperry_Dec_Gates 3 as a new layer.
Resize 25%/Move into Position
Change the Properties to Soft Light
Copy and paste Branch as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Change the Properties to Soft Light
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle 3 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste Tower as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Move into position
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Copy and paste your close up tube as a new layer.
Move into position
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the tube layer and the tower layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Edger Ribbon: Resize 25%/Free rotate left 90 degrees
Button 2: Resize 50%/Duplciate 11 times
Table: Resize 25% and 70%
Chair 1 & 2: Resize 25% and 70%
Feather: Resize 40%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste the Preview Paper Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
18
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out slightly.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your credits.

Add your name.
