1 tube of choice – I used the amazing artwork
of Sarah Pauline which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here
Font of choice – I used Boyz R Gross here
My template 258 here

Brush Strokes – Angled Strokes

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Open up the tube layer.
Highlight the Image layer.
Copy
Make the template active.
Highlight Layer 2.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Make the tube image active.
Flip Vertical.
Copy.
Make the template active.
Highlight Layer 1.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Layer 3.
Make your Magic Wand active and click on it.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #8daf62
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 5
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Layer 4.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Layer 5.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic
Wand.
Selections/Invert
Flood Fill with #452a1c
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 60%
OK
Deselect.
Highlight Layer 9.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Layer 6.
Click on it with our Magic Wand.
Make your tube image active and flip it
vertically so that it’s in the correct position again.
Copy.
Make the template active.
Paste as a new layer. Move it into a position you like – I chose
the area at the right side where you see the leaves with the purple background.
Right click on the image in your layers pallet
and choose “Promote Section to layer”
Close out the original image layer for now.
To the promoted layer, Apply Brush Strokes –
Angled Strokes:
Direction Balance: 50
Stroke Length: 15
Sharpness: 3
OK
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Resize the tube 35%.
Mirror it and move into a position you like
over the paper layer.
Highlight the template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to layer”.
Delete the original tube layer.
Change the Blend Mode of the promoted layer to Overlay.
Deselect
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Layer 7.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Flood fill with #452a1c.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Repeat the above step with Layers 12 & 13.
Highlight Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #454995
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 5%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Reopen the image layer and move it just above
this template layer.
Move into a position you like – I chose the yellowish
area near the wing.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and
choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Apply Brush Strokes – Angle Strokes, using
same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Layer 11.
Repeat the above step.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and move into position over the right circle.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 30%.
Copy and paste the element I supplied.
Duplicate.
Flip one and Mirror/Flip the other.
See my tag for placement.
Highlight the white background layer.
Copy and paste the Image layer from the tube
and paste as a new layer.
Choose an area of the image you like and leave
it in place.
Duplicate and change the Blend Mode to
Multiply.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #020204
Background: #5a3b10
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
Apply a slight Bevel 2x’s:
