This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster Layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate the layer.

Copy and paste El 13 as a new layer.
Make your Magic Wand active and click inside the frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 15.
OK
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer below the frame.
Move into a position you like.
Right click on the tube in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.
Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Deselect.

Move the Original Tube layer above the frame.
Resize 25%.
Mirror.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.

Do the following if you would like to create the illusion that she is holding the guitar….
Resize El 60 75%.
Make your Pick Tool active and turn the guitar until it’s at the right angle to appear like she’s holding it.
Lower the Opacity of the guitar to around 50%.
Highlight the tube layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on point to point and section out her hand – don’t worry about getting in between the fingers, we’ll take care of that in a bit.
Once you done that, Copy.
Deselect.
Highlight the tube layer.
Paste as New Layer.
Move the hand piece into position over the guitar.
To get the area in between the fingers, make your Eraser Tool active and adjust the size so that it’s very small.  Zoom in to the hand piece and very carefully erase what you don’t want.  It’s ok if you make an oops!  That’s what the Undo button is for!!
If you want to give that hand piece a drop shadow, make sure “Shadow on new layer” is checked.  Then use your eraser tool to erase the drop shadow that appears on the arm.

Copy and paste El 70 as a new layer just above the mask layer.  You’ll be able to see the element through the tube so make your Freehand Selection Tool active set on Point to Point and section along the center of the frame edge and around the leafy area of the tree.
