Snowflake Magic


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Verymany which can be purchased from here. 

Font of choice – I used Memories here

Gem mask 227 here

Plug Ins used:
Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II – Pool Shadow

“Majestic Colors” is a absolutely beautiful PTU tagger size scrap kit created by Cindy of Scrappin’ with Lil Ole Me and can be purchased from Mystical Scraps.
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste el26 as a new layer.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste el122 as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Duplicate
Move both elements into position to the left of the round frame – see my tag for reference.

Highlight the top element.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Contract by 8.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Repeat the above step with the bottom star.
Once you’ve done that, Merge Visible both element papers so they are both on the same layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position over the merged paper layer.
Highlight the merged layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the tube layer in your layers pallet.
Right Click on it and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Lower the Opacity to 30.
Deselect.
Delete the original tube layer.

Copy and paste el 132 as a new layer.
Free Rotate Left 90 degrees.
Use your Selection Tool and section off the entire right half of the frame.
Edit/Cut
Paste as new layer.
Match them up to make a tall, thin rectangular frame.
Merge Visible both frame layers.
Resize 75%.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Merge Visible the frame and paper.
Move into position behind the 2 star elements you made to look like frames – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
120
57:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
94:  Resize 55%
24:  Resize 20%
139:  Resize 40%
127:  Resize 40%
76
12:  Resize 30%/Duplicate as many times as you like/mirror some of them
19:  Resize 40%/Duplicate as many times as you like

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #2b0a00
Background: #4f6b41
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2 x’s:

Select All/Float/Defloat
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II – Pool Shadow:
Use Default settings accept lower the Intensity button to 91.
OK

Close out your white background.
Save your tag as a PNG.

Pink Frost


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Joanna Bromley which can be purchased from DigitalArt Heaven. 

Font of choice – I used Magic here

My mask 27 here

My template 150 here

Plug Ins used:
Mura’s Meister – Copies
Eyecand 5: Nature – Snow Drift

“Pink Frost” is a FTU tagger size scrap kit created by Barbara of A Cowgirl’s Creation and can be downloaded from her blog here.  
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up my template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700 pixels.
Highlight the white background.
Flood fill white.
Delete the credit layer.

Highlight Square 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Square 2.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Rectangle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
DO NOT delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Lines.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Noise; 35%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Glitter Circle.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Circle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Coy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into a position you like over the template layer.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original paper layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 as a new layer.
Resize 60%.
Move into a position you like over the template layer.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Change the Properties of this layer to “Color”
Delete the original paper layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Once you have it in the position you like, right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” and lower the Opacity of it to 32.
Delete the original tube layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Flower 1 as a newlayer.
Resize 10%
Apply Mura’s Mesiter – Copies:
Choose Encircle and change the top 3 numbers –
Number: 27
Shift X: 55
Shift Y: 55
OK

Place this ring of flowers over the tube within the circle.
Duplicate thee ring and resize 90%.
Move this ring of flowers below the right square.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used (see tag for placement):
Pine Bow:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
Frame 2:  Resize 45%/Duplicate
Pink Ribbon:  Resize 35%
Flower 1:  Resize 70%/Duplicate
Pearl Strange:  Resize 45%/Duplicate 3x’s
Flake 3:  Resize 10%/Duplicate and resize as you like
Gold Doodle:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Flip

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate the mask layer and change the Properties to Multiply.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #d75a93
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Open up Paper 6 and use your Selection Tool to section out the entire center of the paper.
New Raster layer below your name.
Flood fill with the pattern of Paper 2.
Deselect
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise;
Uniform checked
Monochrome UNchecked
Noise: 61%
OK

Merge Visible both name layers.
Apply Eyecandy 5 – Nature: Snow Drift.
Match your settings to mine:

Decorate your name with a few flakes for added embellishment.

Close out your white background.
Save your tag as a PNG.

Winter Green 1


Supplies Needed

Font of choice – I used Impact (it came with my program)

Vix mask 451 here

Rachel Designs Tag template 66 here

Plug Ins used:
Eyecandy 4000 - Glass
Eyecandy 5 Nature – Snowdrift

“Winter Green Collab” is a collaboration of 6 designers and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here.  For this tutorial I used Guki Creations’ beautiful portion. You can check out more of her kits here
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete Raster 1 layer.
Resize all layers 600 px.
Highlight the background layer.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 700
OK
Flood fill white.

Highlight 1.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight 3.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Open up element 44.
Resize 55%
Move into position over the round paper layer.

Highlight 6.
Merge Down.
Template layers 5 & 6 should now both be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Apply Eyecandy 4000 – Glass:
Click on the Bevel Profile tab
Choose Subtle Hump
Click on the Basic Tab and match your settings to mine:

Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 9.
Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
Template layers 7, 8, and 9 should now all be on the same layer.
Click on each square with your Magic Wand.

Copy and paste Paper 6 as a new layer above the template layer.
Resize the paper 60%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect for now.

Add the following elements within the squares – see my tag for reference (and don’t worry about what overhangs the squares, we’ll clean that up in a bit):
1:  Resize 25%
31 & 32:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate
42

Highlight the merged template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element that overhangs the sides of the template and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
64:  Resize 45%
19:  Resize 75%
11:  Resize 70%
34:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
17:  Resize 20%/Duplicate 2x’s
65:  Resize 60% (place behind the circle frame, position at the top of the red rectangles)
65 (again):  Resize 30%/Duplicate
29:  Resize 60%
12:  Resize 25%
5:  Resize 40%
13:  Resize 30%/Mirror
58, 59, 60:  Resize 15%/turn this way and that

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  Pattern/Paper 1
Background: Pattern/Paper 3
Set the stroke to 2.
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Apply Eyecandy 5: Nature – Snowdrift:
Match your settings to mine:
