be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here.
Font of choice – I used Secret of the Octopus here
Rachel Design Mask mask 826 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a
working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s
get started ~♥~
Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Highlight the background layer and open it up.
Image/Canvas size:
800 x 500
OK
Flood fill with #ffffff
Delete the following layers:
Raster 17, 12 and 3.
Highlight Raster 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Duplicate the layer.
Apply Xenofex 1.0: Shower Door -
Dot Size: 7
Random Seed: 50
OK
Merge Down.
Deselect.
Apply a slight Inner Bevel:
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Raster 6 (template layer)
Repeat the above steps.
Highlight Raster 10 (template layer) – this part of the tutorial is
optional. You can’t see it on my tag,
but if you choose not to have the Christmas Tree then this element is a really
pretty option.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Element 49 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Raster 13 (template layer).
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Change the Blend Mode to Hard Light.
Delete the template layer.
Close out all layers in your layers pallet
accept for these 2 paper layers.
Merge Visible.
Give Merged Layer the same slight Inner Bevel.
Reopen all layers.
Highlight Raster 14 (template layer)
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Duplicate.
Change the Blend Mode to Burn.
Merge Down.
Deselect.
Give the paper layer the same slight Inner
Bevel.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Raster 4 (template layer)
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Close out all layers and Merge Visible these 2
paper layer.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel.
Reopen all layers.
DO NOT delete template layer.
Highlight Raster 1 (template layer)
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper layer the same slight Inner
Bevel.
DO NOT delete the template layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. If you’re using the same tube I did, resize
60%. Now is the time to give it a drop shadow.
Change the blend mode to Overlay and move the
tube into a position you like – see my tag for reference.
Highlight Raster 1 template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
In the layers pallet right click on it and
choose Promote Section to Layer. The new
section layer will be normal blend mode – it’s ok, just leave it for now.
In your layers pallet, move the original tube
layer so it’s just over Rectangle (template layer).
Highlight Rectangle (template layer).
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the original tube layer and right
click on it in your layers pallet.
Choose Promote Section to Layer.
Delete the original tube layer.
Change the blend mode of each promoted tube
layer to Overlay.
I bet your tag is starting to look AWESOME!
Highlight Raster 7 (template layer)
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Raster 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Change the Blend Mode to Luminance.
Close out all layers and Merge Visible these 2
paper layers.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Reopen all layers.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Raster 16 (template layer)
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
DO NOT delete the template layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and move into a position you like
beneath the frame. If you’re using the
same tube as I did, resize 60%. If you
want to make the braid of the tube to appear as if floating outside of the
frame then continue here. If not, skip
this section.
Once you have the tube moved into position make
your Freehand Selection tool active.
Settings:
Selection type: Point to Point
Mode: Add (shift)
Feather: 1
Smoothing: 2
Anti-alias checked
Zoom in rather closely and carefully section
out around the braid all of the area of the tube that overhangs the frame.
Once it is all sectioned out then tap the
delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate the tube and move it above the frame
layer.
Highlight the frame layer.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Make your Eraser Tool active and erase any of
the tube that overhangs the frame that you don’t want to be seen.
Deselect.
Open up Frame 1 from the frame folder.
Duplicate and close out the original.
Open up Paper 9 and copy it.
Make the frame active.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster layer.
Paste the paper Into Selection.
Change the blend mode to Overlay.
Merge Visible.
Deselect.
Copy.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a New Layer.
Resize 43%
Move into position over Raster 5 (template
layer).
Delete the template.
Paste the frame again as a new layer.
Resize 45%.
Move into position over the bigger circle
paper – see my tag for reference.
Make the merged frame element active.
Make your Selection Tool active and section
out a small area of the frame. Try to
find a place where it’s a solid pattern/color, not at the edges where it’s fringe-like.
Highlight Raster 15 (template layer)
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster layer.
Make your Flood Fill tool active.
In your Color Materials pallet click on the
Background pallet.
It will open up The Materials Property box.
Look for the merged frame – it’ll say MD-TFF-FRAME01.
Angle: 0
Scale: 100
OK
Make your working tag active and flood fill
the frame.
Deselect.
Highlight Raster 11 template layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Zoom in and flood fill with the same pattern
as the frame. I found I had to click
many times on each dot.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Add your elements. I used:
El 41:
Resize 50%
El 42: Resize 10%/Duplicate 3x/Mirror 2
of them
El 23: Resize 50%
El 23 again: Resize 35%
El 60: Resize 10%
Open El 5 and section off the left
bauble. Copy/paste as a new layer on
working canvas/resize 20%/Duplicate and resize as many times as you like.
Duplicate the pink poinsettia element as many
times as you like and move into position behind the baubles.
Open up Papers 4 and 5.
To each paper:
Ctrl + D and close out the originals.
Apply the mask to each paper.
Merge Group.
Copy the pink mask.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer just above the white
background layer.
Resize 50%
Position on the left side.
Duplicate/Mirror
Copy and paste the blue mask as a new layer.
Resize 50% and move slightly center-Left.
Duplicate/Mirror
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #4162a2
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
