Autumn's Arrival


Supplies

1 tube of choice - I used the wonderful Lori Karels which can be purchased from Up Your Art.  You must have a license to use.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let's get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 95%
Image/Canvas Size 700 x 600
OK
Highlight the bg background and flood fill white.
Delete the top 7 layers, right brown circle layer, left brown circle layer, white circles layer.

Highlight Left Rust Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Right Rust Strip layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highligt Blue Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Gray Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Copy and paste el95 as a new layer.
Change the Properties of the element to Soft Light.
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight the paper layer and apply Eyecandy 3.1 - Glow:
Width: 5
Opacity: 100
Opacity Drop Off: Fat
Color: #593a2b
OK

Copy and paste el114 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
el118:  Resize 70%/Duplicate 4x's
el91:  Resize 40%/Duplicate 2x's
el155: Duplicate
el34:  Resize 50%/Duplicate
el44:  REsize 60%
el58
el8:  Resize 20%
el90:  REsize 30%
el61:  Resize 30%/Duplicate/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate 3x's
el151:  Resize 85%/Mirror

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your Copyright.

Add your name.
Foreground: #f6c68d
Background: #eadecb
Stroke: 0.8

Type your name.
Turn your name to match the tag - see mine for reference.

Merge Visible.
Resize 80%
Save

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let's get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 8 layers, Left Brown Circle, and Right Brown Circle.
Open up the bg layer.

Highlight Left Teal Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Right Teal Square layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Large Brown Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Top Rust Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Bottom Rust Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Grey Oval layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 4 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Rust Center Shape layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Brown Center Shape layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 3 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Move it into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
If you're using the same tube as I did, resize 70%
Use your Eraser Tool and erase the areas of the tube you don't want to overhang the paper shape.
Copy and paste AS40 as a new layer.
Position behind the tube.
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste AS61 as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Position it behind the tube.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight White Center Frame layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Left Teal Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste AS36 Into Selection.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize as you like and change the Properties to Overlay.
Movew it into a position you like.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rigth Teal Circle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Add your elements.  I used:
AS23:  Resize 50%/Duplicate
AS76
AS34:  Resize 10%/Duplicate 3x's/Merge Visible all 4 brads/Duplicate
AS20:  Resize 50%
AS21:  Resize 50%/Free rotate Left 25 degrees
AS65:  Resize 30%
AS64:  Resize 25%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your coyright.

Add your name:
Foreground: #0d0925
Background: #4e6391
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Merge Visible all layers.
Resize 80%
Save.

Autumn forum Banner Set



Supplies

AAA Frames - Photo Frames

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let's get started ~♥~

Open up a blank 550 x 200 canvas.

Copy and paste Paper 3 as a new layer. 
Position the lower right corner of the paper over the blank canvas.

New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Make your Pick Tool active and pull the top up and bottom down.
Merge Group.
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Lower the Opacity to about 55.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.  
If you're using the same as I did, Resize 40%.
Change the Properties of the tube to Soft Light.
Move it over to the right side - see my tag for reference.
Duplicate/Mirror
Do Not give either tube a drop shadow yet.

Be sure the tube on the left is highlighted in your layers pallet.
Make your Magic Wand active.  Use the default settings but change the Feather number to 8.
Click it on the right side of your canvas.
Selections/Invert
Highlght the mask layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Give each of your tube layers a drop shadow.
Duplicate the tube on the left.

Copy and paste AS40 as a new layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, Resize 45%.
See my tag for placement of both.
Give both a drop shadow.

Merge Flatten.
Edit/Copy

Image/Add Borders:
Color: #210c01
Symmetric checked
Left, Top, Right, and Bottom: 25
OK

Make your Magic Wand active.
Set the feather number back to 0.
Click on the dark border area with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste your Image Into Selection.
Apply AAA Frames - Photo Frames:
Use Default settings.
OK
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Deselect.
Merge Down.
You should now have just a background image and your frame in your layers pallet.

Highlght the frame layer.
Click inside of it with your mouse.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #bf5500
Selections/Modify/Contract by 6.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Effects/Text Effects/Blinds:
Width: 3
Opacity: 38
Color: #491d00
Light From Left/Top checked
OK
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize the same as you did before.
Match it up exactly over the tube on your background image.
Give it a slight drop shadow.

Highlght the background layer.
Effects/Illumination Effects/Sunburst:
Match your settings to mine -

Add your elements.  I used:
AS34:  Resize 10%/Duplicate 5x's
AS21:  Resize 30%/Free roate Left 30 degrees

Add your Copyright.

Add your name.
Foreground: #1a0a01
Background: #e2a736
Stroke: .75

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 3x's -
Use same settings as before

Merge Flatten.
Save.

Copy

To make the Avatar:

Open up a 125 x 125 blank canvas.
Paste your banner as a new layer.
Move it into a position you like - see my avatar for reference.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with your Foreground color.
Select All.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Type the first letter of your name.
Give it a drop shadow.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 3x's.

Add your copyright.
I used Gothic Pr6n EL that came with my program.

Save.

Emoshun


Supplies

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Lets Get Started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 2 layers, Circle Frame, and Dotted Circle layer.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill white.
Send to bottom.

Highlight Circle Background layer.
Click on the gray area with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Flower 5 as a new layer.
Resize 15%
Apply Mura's Meister - Copies:
Choose "Encircle:
Change the top 3 numbers to -
Number: 30
Shift X: 70
Shift Y: 70
OK
Move the circle of flowers into position over the paper layer.

Highlight Long Rectangles layer.
Click on each rectangle with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Dotted Lines layer.
Click anywhere outside of the dotted lines with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #000000
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Narrow Strips layer.
Click anywhere outside of them with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Square Frames layer.
Click on each of the frames with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the frames a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Square Frame Backgrounds layer.
Click on the lower square with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 11 as a new layer.
Move the paper into position over the template - choose an area of the paper that doesn't have the line showing.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight the Square Frame Background layer again.
Click on the upper square with your Magic Wand.
Paste the paper again as a new layer.
Move into position the same as you did before.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Bunting 1 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into position over the square - see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Beaded String 2:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Right 90 degrees
Beaded String1:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Right 85 degrees
Brad 2:  Resize 10%/Duplicate 3x's
Teddy 3:  Resize 40%
Cupcake 1:  Resize 40%
Emo Skull 3:  Resize 40%
Corset Heart 1:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Right 20 degrees
Lollipop 4:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Left 75 degrees
Lollipop 3:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Left 80 degrees
Lollipop 2:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Right 80 degrees

Highlght your background layer.
Select All.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the Mask.
Move the mask so it's a little more centered behind the circle layer.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name:
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #ef0c44
Stroke: 1

To make your name in a ring:
In your color pallet, close out the background color.
Make your Ellipse Tool active set on Circle and create a ring slightly larger than the ring 

of flowers.
Object/Align/Center in Canvas

Reopne your background color in your color pallet.
Type your name and then hit the space bar 4 times.
Highlight your name and the spaces.
Copy.
Ctrl + V - your name should appear again.
Keep pressing Ctrl + V until your name makes a complete circle around the flowers - don't let your name overlap each other.
TIP:  If you should end up with a rather large gap, yet if you paste your name once more then it'll over lap, don't worry!  In the text box, click your mouse before the very first name that was typed.  Tap the space bar and watch your name go around in a circle until the gap is hidden behind the cupcake.  
Click apply.
In your layers pallet click on the + sign.
Click on the eye of the New Ellipse layer.
Highlight Vector 1 layer.
Right click your mouse.
Choose Convert to Raster layer.

To get the emo skulls between your name:
Copy and paste Emo Skull 4 as a new layer.
Resize 10%
Apply Mura's Meister - Copies:
Choose Encircle.
Count the number of gaps you have going around the circle and put that in the "Number" line in Mura's Meister - Copies.
Change Shift X and Shift Y to 85
Apply.
Move the circle of skulls so the skull is pefectly set between two of your names.  Make your 

Freehand Selection Tool active and circle around that skull.
Right click on in in your layers pallet.
Choose Promote Section to layer.
Deselect.
Highlight the ring of skulls and move it into exact position in the next gap.
Circle around it with your Freehand Selection Tool.
Right click on it, choose Promote Section to layer.
Deselect.
Continue this until you have the skulls in exact position all the way around the circle.
You can delete the original ring of skulls.

Resize all layers 85%.
