Monsters Bubble Bath

Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the adorable artwork of Lisa Victoria which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Specialty of Rodrigues here

Gem Mask 226 here

“A Dragon’s Dreamy Day” is a FTU Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be found on my designing blog here.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~ 

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer, Template Layers 10 and 11.

Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 2.
Repeat the above step. 

Highlight Template Layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Apply Penta.com – Dot and Cross:
Use Default Settings.
Effects/Texture Effects/Texture –
Choose Brick Wall and use Default Settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 4.
Use your Magic Wand and click on each triangle shape.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
(Do not Deselect yet)
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 5
OK
Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance
Effects/Texture Effects/Texture:
Choose Grid
Use Default Settings
Deselect
Adjust/Sharpen/Unsharpen Mask:
Match your settings to mine:
Radius: 2
Strength:10
Clipping: 10
OK
Apply once more. 

Highlight Template Layer 5.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Template Layer 6, 12, and 14. 

Highlight Template Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Template Layer 9.
Repeat the above step accept change the Inner Bevel settings to:

Highlight Template Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 16 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Template Layer 13.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply a slight Inner Bevel:

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, use “Full Tube” layer and Resize 50%. 

Copy and paste El 30 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Place behind the light green oval.
Duplicate the Giraffe element and move it to the top of your layers pallet.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase the element until it appears as if the Giraff’s nose is overhanging the oval. 

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 71:  Resize 60%/Free Rotate Left 15 degrees
El 72:  Resize 45%
El 75:  Resize 82%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 13
El 14
El 34:  Resize 40%
El 61:  Use your Pick Tool to flatten/Duplicate
El 15:  Resize 30%/Mirror/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate 2 more times/Mirror one of them
El 67:  Resize 70%/Duplicate
El 65:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 47

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group
Duplicate the mask layer. 

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #0f3f5a
Background: #234672
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine:

 

Repeat the Inner Bevel 2 more times.

Make Some Waves

 


Supplies Needed

“Make Some Waves” is a DAH Exclusive  PTU Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer. 

Copy and paste Element 13 as a new layer just above Template Layer 9.
Move it into position so that the left side of the element aligns with the left side of Template layers 8 and 9. 
Make your Selection Tool active set on rectangle and section off the right side of the element:

Edit/Cut
Deselect.
Edit/Paste as new layer.
Move the element to the right so that it aligns with the right side of the templates.

Male your Eraser Tool active and erase enough of the area that overlaps to make both pieces of the frame create a big frame that fits over the templates perfectly.

Merge Visible both element layers. 

Repeat the above steps with the same element to create the same "frame" to fit over Template Layers 3 and 4.

Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 2.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Template Layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Template Layer 4.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Template Layer 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Duplicate
Lock this layer by clicking the lock icon at the top of the layers pallet.
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass -
Match your settings to mine:

Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Multiply.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above steps with Template Layer 6.

Highlight Template Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel. 

Highlight Template Layer 9.
Repeat the above step. 

Highlight Template Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above step with Template Layer 11 and 12.

Highlight Template Layer 13.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel. 

Highlight Template Layer 16.
Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
Template layers 14, 15, and 16 should now all be on the same layer.
Click on each template with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Nosie: 35%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

In your layers pallet:
Move Template Layer 19 down to be just over Template Layer 17.
Move Template Layer 25 down to be just over Template Layer 19.
Move Template Layer 27 to be just over Template Layer 25.
Highlight Template Layer 27 and Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
And Merge Down once more.
All 4 template layers should now be on the same layer.
Make your Magic Wand active and click on each square.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer over the merge layer.
Resize the paper 60%
Move into a position over the merged template layer that you like.
Right click on the paper layer in the layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the Original Paper layer.

Highlight Template Layer 28 and Merge Down.
Move the merged down to be just over Template Layer 20.
Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
All 4 (frame) template layers should now all be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 22.
Move it UP in the layers pallet to be just beneath Template Layer 24.
Highlight Template Layer 22 and Merge Down.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Paste (Paper 20 should still be in memory) Into Selection.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Template Layer 23.
Merge Down
Click on each template shape with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer.
Resize 60% and move into a position you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
Delete the template and Original Paper layer.

 

Copy and paste your tube and move into position.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 50%. 

If your tube did not cover template 29 go ahead and delete it, unless you’d like to keep it and cover it with an element (and then delete it). 

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 26:  Resize 75%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 21:  Resize 25% and 60%/Lower the Opacity to 57/Duplicate 2x’s and Mirror one of them
El 38:  Resize 25% and 50%
El 39:  Resize 25% and 80%/Duplicate and resize as you like/lowering the Opacity on some of them
El 63:  Resize 25% (delete the template)
El 24:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 85:  Resize 50%/Mirror
El 92:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 16:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate
El 32:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
El 50:  Resize 20%
El 51:  Resize 20%
El 42:  Resize 20%
El 78:  Resize 45%

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group. 

New Raster Layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group.
Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Hue

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #002800
Background: #a4d02f
Set the stroke to 1.0

Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 1
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine:


Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Noise: 20%
OK
Deselect.

Dare to Dream Big

 



Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the gorgeous artwork of Sandi Baker which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Al Sandra here

Plug Ins used:
Xenofex 1.0 – Distress
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~ 

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.

Open the tube.
Highlight the Image layer.
Edit/Copy.
Edit/Paste as a new Image.
For the sake of this tutorial, I will refer to this as “Image 1”
Leave it open throughout the tutorial as you will need it a couple of times.

Make your Selection Tool active set on rectangle.
Section out the top right corner; the tan(ish) area...as much as you can without sectioning out any of the horse’s mane.
Edit/Copy.

Make your working canvas active (the template)
Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Edit/Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Xenofex 1.0 – Distress:
Edge Width: 20
Irregularity: 50
Edge Type: Rough
OK
Make your Lighten/Darken Tool active
Set the size to about 30 and darken the edges here and there a little.
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine:

Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 9.
Repeat the above steps.

Once you’ve repeated all the steps and given the paper a slight Inner Bevel then Copy and paste your tube as a new layer above the paper.  Match the right side and the bottom of the tube to the paper.
Give your tube a drop shadow.
Highlight the paper.
Click anywhere outside of the paper with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Make your Eraser Tool active and erase along the right edge and bottom of the tube.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Make “Image 1” active.
Image/Flip/Flip Vertical.
Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Template Layer 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Edit/Paste Into Selection.
Lock this layer by clicking on the lock icon at the top of the layers pallet.
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass –
Match your settings to mine:

Apply the same Xenofex 1.0 Distortion effect.
Deselect.
Click the lock at the top of the layers pallet to unlock the layer.
DO NOT delete the template layer.

Make “Image 1” active again.
Click the Undo button to make the image right side up.
Edit/Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Template layer 8.
Repeat the same steps as you did with Template Layer 2. 

Make “Image 1” active.
Make your Selection Tool active and section out the bottom left corner – be careful not to get any of the horse’s mane in it.
Edit/Copy 

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Template Layer 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Edit/Paste Into Selection.

Make “Image 1” active again.
Deselect.
Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
New Raster Layer.
Edit/Paste Into Selection.
Lock the layer.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 37
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)
DO NOT delete the template layer. 

Repeat all of the same steps with Template Layer 6. 

Highlight the horse tube layer.
Duplicate/Mirror and move the just above Template Layer 6 in your layers pallet – although you’ll see what it looks like over both diamond shapes.  Change the blend mode of the tube to Overlay just so you find a nice position to place the tube.  Rename this layer TUBE 1.
Once you like the placement – to each of the diamond shapes, do this:

Highlight Template Layer 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer in your layers pallet and right click your mouse on it – choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.  Don’t panic as the promoted layer will go back to Normal Blend.
Change the Blend Mode of the Promoted layer to Overlay.

Highlight TUBE 1 and move it just over the paper that belongs to Template Layer 4.
Repeat the same steps as you did for Template Layer 6.

Once you’ve done that, Move TUBE 1 in your layers pallet so it’s just over the paper that belongs to Template Layer 2.
Repeat the above steps.

You can then delete Template layers 2, 4, and 6.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #6b7688
Background: #8d9db5
Highlight Template Layer 7.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active and change the color to the foreground color.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Noise: 30%
OK 

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #6b7688
Background: #e5cba8
Change the color of Template Layer 5.
Give it the same Noise effect. 

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #807d7b
Background: #8c9cb5
Change the color of Template Layer 3.
Apply the same Noise effect. 

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #454342
Background: #bf8378
Change the color of Template Layer 10
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel 5x’s 

Make “Image 1” active.
Flip it vertical.
Image/Copy. 

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight the Background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste the flipped image Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group. 

Add your copyrights.

 Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #d8dbe1
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Duplicate
Open the foreground color and make it #454342
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.  Press on the left key of the mouse and run it over your name. 
Make your Mover Tool active and move the dark name layer slightly to the right.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Change the foreground color to #0056b1
Make your Brush Tool active and choose any brush you like that will create a speck of blue here and there on your name.  I had fairy sparkle brushes and just used one of those.
Deselect.
Merge Down
Merge Down again.
All 3 layers that make up your name should now be on one layer.
