Bluebells Fairy Baby

 


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.

Font of choice – I used EK Bliss (I’m sorry, could not find a link)

Childish Kid font is comparable here

Gem mask 226 here

My template 189 here

“Blueberry Hill” is a Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

  This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

 Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the following layers:
Credit, Layer 17, Layer 16, Layer 6, Layer 3, and Layer 1.

Highlight Layer 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a sight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Layer 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer over the template layer.
Resize the paper 60%.
Move into position over the template.
Right click on the paper in your Layer’s Pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Open up Element 9.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere on the inside the element frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 14.
Copy

Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer and resize 45%
Move into position over the template Layer 5.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 5 as a new layer at the top of your layers pallet and resize 60%.
Copy and paste Element 1 as a new layer
Move both paper and flowers into a position you like over the template – be sure both will cover all 3 template layers across the canvas.
Right click on the paper in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Right Click on the flower element and choose “Promote Section to Layer.”
Deselect.
Move the promoted paper layer and promoted flowers in your layers pallet so they are just above the matching template.
You can now delete the template.
Give the promoted paper layer the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above steps with Layer 9 and Layer 11.
You can then delete the original paper layer and flowers element layer.

Highlight Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked:
Noise: 30%
OK

Repeat the above steps with Layer 12 and Layer 18. 

Highlight Layer 14.
Merge Down.
Layer 13 and 14 should now be on the same layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 15.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the paper layer of the merged template.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel accept change Bevel to #4.
OK 

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. 

Add your elements.  I used:
El 7
El 20:  Resize 85%
El 29:  Resize 45%
El 24:  Resize 70%
El 21:  Resize 90% 

 Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/blur/Motion Blur:
Angle: 142
Strength: 100%
OK
Blur once more using same settings.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #e9dea7
Set the stroke to 1.
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2.
Flood fill with #79baa6
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2 times:
Using same settings.
If you like, use a butterfly to decorate your name.  I resized mine 30%.
