1 tube of choice – I used
the artwork of Alehandra Vanhek which can be purchased from Pics For Design
here
Weescotlass mask 19 here

Brush Strokes - Crosshatch

This tutorial was written
assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Resize all layers 80%
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Highlight template layer 2.
Copy and paste El53 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Duplicate/Move into position over
template layer 1.
Do not give the frames a drop shadow
yet.
To each frame:
Click inside of it with your Magic
Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Duplicate the frame.
Resize 70%
Move into position over Template
layer 6 in your layers pallet.
Duplicate the frame – move into position
over template layer 5.
To each of these frames:
Click inside of it with your Magic
Wand.
Selection/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete template layers 1, 2, 5, and
6.
You can give the frames a drop
shadow now if you care to.
Highlight template layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 23
Sharpness: 10
Strength: 1
OK
Delete the template layer.
Repeat the above step with template
layer 4.
Highlight template layer 7.
Click anywhere outside of it with
your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into
Selections
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform/Monochrome checked
Noise: 35
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 5.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into
Selection.
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste your tube as a new
layer at the top of your layers pallet.
(If you’re using the same tube as I
did, resize 30%)
Position it at the left side of the
rectangles – see my tag for reference.
Paste your tube as a new layer again
over the top paper layer of the 3 rectangles.
(If you’re using the same tube as I
did, resize 50%)
Change the properties of the tube to
Soft Light and move into position over the 3 rectangles – see my tag for
reference.
It’s important that this tube is in
its exact position.
Duplicate the tube layer.
To the bottom tube apply Brush
Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 20
Sharpness: 12
Strength: 1
OK
To the top tube layer lower the
Opacity to 61.
Highlight template 7 layer.
Click on each rectangle with your
Magic Wand.
To each tube layer:
Highlight the tube layer.
Right click on the layer.
Choose “Promote Section to layer”
Delete the original tube layer.
To each Promoted layer change the
Properties back to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Add your elements. I used:
El62: Resize 75%/Duplicate/Mirror
El2:
Resize 90%/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
El15: Resize 50%/Free Rotate Left 90 Degrees/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate
both elements
El29: Resize 30%
El57: Resize 20%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Mirror/Flip/Duplicate
both elements
El79: Resize 20%/Duplicate/Duplicate/Resize 60%
El45: Resize 50%
El7:
Resize 30%
El51: Resize 25%/Duplicate/Resize 2x’s/Resize one
80%, the other 70%/Mirror one of them
El167: Resize 45%
El65: Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror
El48: Resize 45% & 90%
Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Move the mask into position behind
the upper left frame.
Duplicate the mask layer.
Move into position behind the lower
right frame.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #5d0000
Background: #ee8810
Make your Text Tool active and set
the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize all layers to 500 pixels.
