Beach 2014


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Verymany which can be purchased from here.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Architect’s Daughter here

My mask 27 here

My Template 181 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 4 layers.

Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #999685
Background:  #e0644f

Make your Color Replacer Tool active:

Highlight LAYER 1.
Move your mouse over the template and double right click your mouse.
It should have turned to the red color.
Repeat this with the following template layers:
LAYER 2, LAYER 3, LAYER 4, LAYER 5, and LAYER 13

Color Pallet:
Change just the foreground to #929cb5

Highlight LAYER 18.
Double Right click your mouse over the template.
It should have turned to the red color.

Highlight LAYER 5.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight LAYER 7.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer.
Resize 30%
Move into a position you like over the template layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 26
Sharpness: 2
Strength: 2
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above step with LAYER 14.

Highlight LAYER 12
Merge Down.
LAYERS 11 & 12 should now be on the same layer.
Click on each square with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Make your Target Tool Active:

Change the color of the paper to #71d0dd.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Move it into a position you like.
Highlight the merged template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper layer the same slight Inner Bevel.

Copy and paste Element 68 as a new layer.
Free rotate Left 90 degrees.
Resize 70%
Copy.
Delete the element as you won’t be using it any more.

Highlight LAYER 15.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste the element Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with LAYER 16.

Highlight LAYER 17.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it beside the squares

Add your elements.  I used:
50
28:  Resize 30%/Duplicate
15:  Resize 15%
14:  Resize 10%/Duplicate
8:  Resize 20% and 80%/Free rotate Right 8 degrees
56:  Resize 50%/Use Pick Tool to flatten just a little
49:  Resize 40% and 50%/Position beside your tube
49 again:  Resize 50%
9:  Resize 15%/Free rotate Left 30 degrees
55:  Resize 20%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #e0654f
Type your name.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel as the last one you used.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize to 500 pixels.
