Behind the Mask

Supplies

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Terry Heuser which can be purchased from here.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Yellow Back Radio here

Plug Ins Used:
Penta.com – Dot & Cross
Mura’s Meister - Copies

“Always In Love” is tagger size FTU scrap kit created by Cindy of Puddicat Creations and can be downloaded from her blog here.  Please leave a thank you after downloading as it’s a small gesture for hard work given freely.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 600
OK
Open up the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the following layers:
Top 2 layers, Finding Neverland, Black Shape, Kandi Word Art, Word Art Back, and Word Art Shadow

Highlight Top Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position over the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Bottom Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Right Blue Circle.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Apply Penta.com – Dot & Cross:
Amount: 136
Cross Distance: 10
Cross Width: 0
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Hard Light.
Give the bottom circle layer the drop shadow.

Repeat the above step with Left Blue Circle.

Highlight Right Rectangle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Left Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Rectangle Frames layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 3
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Apply Pena.com – Dot & Cross:
Amount: 72
Cross Distance: 10
Cross Width: 2
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Purple Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 5
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Apply Pena.com – Dot & Cross:
Use same Settings.
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Dotted Lines layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Glitter 1:  Resize 50%
Candle 1:  Resize 50%
Rose 1:  Resize 25%
Rose 2:  Resize 20%
Grapevine 1:  Resize 70%
Butterfly 3:  Resize 25%
Decorative Stones 1:  Resize 10%
 Decorative Stones 2:  Resize 20%
Decorative Stones 3:  Resize 50%

Highlight your white canvas.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Apply Mura’s Mesiter – Copies:
Choose Wallpaper (rotate)
Use Default settings accept play around with the Number bar if you have to – you want the entire canvas covered.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussain Blur:
Radius: 10
OK
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%
