Tropical Fun Under the Sun

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template. Shift +D. Close out the original.
Delete the copyright, word art layer, staples 1 & 2, and Add a Flower of Choice layers.
Highlight the Background layer.
Image/Canvas size
750 X 700 pixels.
OK
Flood Fill white.

Everything that I made green, we’re going to take care of those layers first.
This way you’re not having to copy the same paper over and again.

Highlight Dotted Line layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 4 as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step for layers:
Stitches, Doodle flower 1, and Doodle flower 2 layers.

Highlight the Ellipse layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 12 as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Scalloped layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 6 as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 13 as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step for Left and Right Frame Background.

Highlight Left Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 6 as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add an inner bevel:
Bevel: 2

Width: 1

Smoothness: 15

Depth: 2

Ambience: -2

Shininess: 0

Color: white

Angle: 0

Intensity: 36

Elevation: 42

OK

Repeat the above 2 steps for Right Frame layer.

In each of the frame layers use your Magic Wand and click inside.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
Copy and paste your tube beneath the frame.
Selections/Invert.
Hit the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Elem1: Resize 80% Duplicate/Resize 80%
Elem 27 & 28: Resize 40% Free rotate 110 degrees
Elem: 29: Resize 30%
Elem: 10 Resize 60% Duplicate/Resize 70%
Elem 11: Resize 50%
Elem: 3: Resize 25%
Elem 4: Resize 30%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Copy and paste Elem 36 as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Move into position behind your palm trees so you get that “setting sun” affect.

Add you copyrights.

Add your name.
I gave it an inner bevel:
Bevel: 2

Width: 6

Smoothness: 5

Depth: 5

Ambience: 13

Shininess: 12

Color: white

Angle: 315

Intensity: 30

Elevation: 50

OK

Resize all layers 80%.
