Supplies Needed
1 tube of choice – I used the adorable artwork
of Maryline Cazenave which can be purchased from CDO here
Font of choice – I used Shimes One here
My Mask 9 here
My template 273 here
“Surf’s Up” is a FTU Tagger Size scrap kit
created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be found on my
designing blog here.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine –
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #196b9b
Background: #bf8378
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.
Highlight Template Layer 2.
Pressing down on your left mouse key, run the
eraser tool around the entire template words.
They should change to the color blue.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Create a blank 500 x 500 canvas.
Copy
Make your working canvas active
Edit/Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Highlight Template Layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Lock the layer by clicking on the lock icon at
the top of the layers pallet.
Effects/Blur/Radial Blur
Match your settings to mine:
Duplicate the layer.
Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Unlock the layer by clicking on the lock icon.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over
the paper layer.
Move into a position you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and
choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu
Delete the original tube layer.
Lower the Opacity of the promoted layer to 24
Duplicate the layer and change the Blend Mode
to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 4.
Use your Magic Wand and click on it.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Duplicate the paper layer and change the Blend
Mode to Multiply.
Skip up to Template Layer 8 and highlight it
your layers pallet.
Use your Magic Wand and click on it.
New Raster Layer.
Paste (Paper 8 should still be in memory) Into
Selection.
Duplicate and change the Blend Mode to
Multiply.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and
choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.
Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light.
Highlight Template Layer 5.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Noise: 31
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Paste (Paper 6 should still be in memory) Into
Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 7.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings, change Noise to 31.
OK
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #2c1a17
Background: #8c9cb5
Highlight Template Layer 9
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.
Press down on the left mouse key and change
the color of the template.
Duplicate the template.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste (Paper 6 should still be in memory) Into
Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings, change Noise to 21%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Move the red layer ever so slightly to the
right.
Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #ffffff
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
