Supplies Needed
1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Nocturne
which can be purchased from Pics for Design here
Font of choice – I used United Kings here
Rene Mask 260 in Package 6 here
“Celebration of Independance”
is a tagger size scrap kit that is now FTU and was created by
me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be downloaded from my designing
blog
here.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a
working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up an 800 x 800 blank canvas.
(Sorry so large! Started out smaller but
it got away from me!)
Flood fill #ffffff
Copy and paste element 11 as a new layer.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster Layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste element 13 as a new layer.
Resize 70%.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste element 12 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Duplicate
Free Rotate one of them to the Left at 7
degrees and the other Right 7 degrees.
Move both into position – see my tag for
reference.
To each frame:
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster Layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste element 13.
Resize 50%
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 80%.
Move it into position that will look nice
below the two blue frames – see my tag for reference.
In your layers pallet, move the tube below the
left blue frame.
Highlight the paper that belongs to this frame.
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere outside
of the paper.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the tube layer in your layers pallet
and right click your mouse on it.
Choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Deselect.
In your layers pallet move the original tube
layer below the Right blue frame.
Repeat the above step.
Once you’ve promoted the layer you can then move the Original tube layer to the top of your layers pallet, Reside 40%, and center in front of the red frame.
Change the Blend Mode of both promoted tube
layers to Multiply.
Add your elements. I used:
El 30: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 31:
Resize 60%
El 35:
Resize 15%/Duplicate 5x/Flip 2 of them.
El 35 again: Resize 45%/Duplicate/Resize
70%/Flip/Duplicate
El 23: Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate
both and Resize 70%/Mirror one of them
El 24: Resize 35%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 37: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 1: Resize 30%
El 2:
Resize 25%/Mirror
El’s 14, 15, and 16
Highlight your white background.
Select All
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Resize 95%
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #ffffff
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 3.
New Raster Layer.
Flood fill with #d40031
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Deselect.
Highlight your white name.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 57%
OK
Merge Visible both name layers.
Close out your white background.
Merge Visible
Resize as you like.
