Chasing the Blues


Supplies Needed  

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Max 13-Tulmes which is a bonus tube from Pics for Design.  You must generate a license to use. 

Font of choice – I used Quality Street here

Vix Mask 452 here

Plug Ins used:
Xero - Porcelain

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste El 8 as a new layer.
Click inside of each circle with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Make your Selection Tool active set on Rounded Rectangle.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Create a rectangle approximately 290 x 610 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 1 as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and patse Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Resize 90%

Move both paper layers into position - See my tag for reference.
Give each paper a slight Inner Bevel: 

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it to the left of the frame.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Mirror
Move into position below the frame - see my tag for reference.
Lower the Opacity of this tube to about 51.
Apply Xero - Porcelain:
Use Default settings.
Copy and paste El 11 as a new layer.
Resize 90%
Free rotate Left 90 degrees
Move into position just below the tube that you lowered the Opacity on.
Use your Erase Tool to erase any of the stars you might see through the tube.
Highlight the paper layer below the tube.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the stars element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
El 21:  Free rotate Left 90%/Erase any that overhangs the paper layer.
El 6:  Resize 30%/Duplicate
El 5:  Resize 45%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Use Pick Tool to turn a little/Duplicate/Duplicate all 3 flower layers
El 12: Duplicate
El 24: Resize 50%/Duplicate/Flip
El 30: Duplicate 2x's
El 16:  Resize 35%
El 15;  Resize 35%/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Mirror
Use your Pick Tool to pull the bottom down a little.
Merge Group.
Duplicate the mask layer.

Add your copyright.

Add your name:

Color Pallet:  
Foreground: #48190c
Background: #c9883b
Stroke: 1.0

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 80%.
