Supplies Needed
1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Racheel Tallamy which can be purchased from Up Your Art. You must have a license to use.
Font of choice – I used Waterfalls
“On a Tropical Breeze” is a tagger size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay's Pasture Designs and can be purchased from either of my stores Scraps from the Heart or Heartbeatz Creationz. You can visit my designing blog here.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.
Copy and paste E33 as a new layer.
Resize 75%
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste the following elements below the frame and move them all into position - see my tag for reference. Don't worry about what overhangs the frame. We'll clean that up in a bit.
E4: Resize 60%
Paste E4 again: Resize 85%/Change the Properties to Luminance (Legacy) and lower the Opacity to about 16
E5: Resize 60%/Duplicate (move up a little and behind the lighthouse)
E51: Resize 30%
E 54
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Close out the white background layer.
Merge Visible.
Reopen the background layer.
Copy and paste E33 as a new layer.
Resize 75% and 85%
Make your Pick Tool active and turn the frame so that the bow is hidden behind the merged layer.
Duplicate the frame.
Mirror
To each frame:
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it in front of the center frame.
Copy and paste E8 as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Duplicate
Mirror
Move both elements into position - see my tag for reference and don't worry about the ripped edge being seen. The braid element will hide it.
Copy and paste E76 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Free rotate Left 90 degrees
Duplicate
Move both layers into position - see my tag for reference.
Add your elements. I used:
E 72: Resize 60%/Use Pick tool to flatten sand a little/Duplicate/Mirror
E44: Resize 70%/Free rotate Right 10 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
E47: Resize 70%
E40: Resize 50%
E16: Resize 30%
E2: Resize 50%/Flip
E7: Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate both layers and resize them 90%
E50: Resize 65%/Duplicate/Mirror
E18: Duplicate/Mirror
E43: Resize 20%
E42: Resize 20%
E41: Resize 15%
E22: Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
E5: Position this in front of your tube. We'll come back to this layer in a bit.
Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull down on the top a little and pull the sides out just a little.
Merge Group.
Crop your image a little.
Highlight the mask layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the water element layer that's in front of the tube.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate the water layer and move it up a little and behind the tube layer.
If you would like the reflection of your tube in the water:
Duplicate the tube layer.
Flip.
In your layers pallet move it above your tube layer and then move it into a reflective position over the water.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Highlight the water layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer that looks like the reflection.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Highlight the original tube layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the reflection tube.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #16060a
Background: #f47e75
Stroke: .50
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Apply DSB Flux - Bright Noise:
Intensity: 49
Mix checked
OK
Resize all layers 85%.
