Supplies

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Keith Garvey which can be purchased from PSPTubes Emporium.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Ferrica here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.

Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.

Make your Selection Tool active set on Circle.

Create a circle approximately 475 pixels.

Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.

Duplicate

Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:

Radius: 5

OK

Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:

Gaussian and Monochrome checked

Radius: 25%

OK

Merge Down

Selections/Modify/Contract by 7

Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.

Deselect.

Highlight the merged Noise layer.

Duplicate/Bring to the top in your layer’s pallet.

Resize 90%

Close this layer and your white canvas out.

Merge Visible.

Close this merged layer out for now.

Reopen your white canvas.

Open up the duplicated Noise layer that you resized.

Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.

Selections/Invert

Selections/Modify Contract by 7

New Raster layer.

Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Position over the paper layer.

Selections/Invert

Tap the delete key.

Deselect.

Change the Properties to Soft Light.

Close out your white canvas.

Merge Visible.

Reopen only your white canvas.

Copy and paste Element 18 as a new layer.

Resize 85%

Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.

Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.

New Raster layer below the frame.

Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.

Copy and paste your tube below the frame.

Selections/Invert

Tap the delete key.

Deselect.

Close out your white canvas.

Merge Visible.

Reopen all layers and move them into position – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

To feather the tube use your Freehand Selection tool to circle around the tube making sure the dotted line touches only the area you want feathered and stay far away from the areas you don’t want feathered.

Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather

Both checked

Feather amount: 35

OK

Selections/Invert

Tap the delete key until you have the feathered look you like.

Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:

29:  Resize 25%/Position over the bow of the heart/Erase any areas of the bow you can see.

29 again:  Resize 20%/Free rotate Left 15 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip

5:  Resize 60%/Mirror

32:  Resize 25%

39:  Resize 90%/Duplicate/Resize 85%

12:  Resize 90%

Highlight your white canvas.

New Raster layer.

Select All.

Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.

Deselect.

Apply the mask

Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.
