Supplies Needed
1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful
artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here
Font of choice – I used Night Mare here
My template 279 here
Plug In used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch
“Magical Dress” is a PTU tagger size scrap kit created by Moonshine Dezinez and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer and Template Layer 15.
Open up Paper 2.
Make your Selection Tool active set on
Rectangle.
Section out a small area in the upper left-hand
corner of the paper where it’s mostly just a plain gray color.
Copy.
Highlight Template Layer 1.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Repeat the above steps with
Template Layers 5, 12, and 19.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #eeeeee
Background: #cecece
Highlight Template Layer 7.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.
Double click on the little circles.
The color should’ve turned to a deeper gray
color.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel using the same
settings.
Repeat the above steps with
Template Layers 8, 10, 11, 14, 16, and 18.
Highlight Template 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch
Stroke Length: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Repeat the above steps with
Template Layers 3 and 4
Highlight Template Layer 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 5 as a new layer over the
template.
Resize the paper 45% and move into a position
you like –
See my tag for reference.
Right Click on the paper in the layers pallet
and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer and template
layer.
Highlight Template Layer 17.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 1 as a new layer over the
template.
Right click on the paper in the layers pallet
and choose “Promote Section to layer” from the submenu.
Deselect.
DO NOT delete the template layer.
Repeat the above step with Template Layer 13.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – see my tag for reference.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize
60%.
Paste your tube again so that it’s over the paper
of the right triangle.
Change the Blend Mode of the tube to Overlay
and move it into a position you like – see my tag for reference.
Once it’s in a position you like, in your
layers pallet highlight Template Layer 13.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer in your layers pallet,
right click on it and choose “Promote Section to Layer”. The mode will go back to normal so change the
mode to Overlay.
Repeat the above steps with the left triangle
my moving the original tube in your layers pallet to just above the paper that
belongs to Template Layer 17.
Once you’ve done that you can delete the original
tube layer.
Copy and paste Element 62.
Resize 20% and 90%
Free rotate Left 45 degrees.
Move into position behind one of the triangles
– see my tag for reference.
Duplicate the frame and move behind the other
triangle.
I bet your tag is looking pretty awesome right about now!! 😊
Copy and paste Element 5 just above the white canvas.
Resize 65%
This will take the place of a mask.
Add your elements. I used:
El 46:
Resize 60%
El 16:
Resize 25%
El 2: Resize
75% (I hung this over the left rectangle paper)
El 55: Resize 40%
El 13:
Resize 35%
El 41: Resize 25%
El 68: Resize 60%
El 15: Resize 35%
El 23:
Resize 25%
El 14: Resize 25%
El 12: Resize
20%
El 58:
Resize 30%
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #ebebeb
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 1
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 64%
OK
