“Bruised” is a tagger size scrap kit that is now FTU and was created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be downloaded from my designing blog here. Scroll down just a little and click on the kit image.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a
working knowledge of PSP.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Flood fill with #802530
Apply Tramages – Tow the Line:
Use Default Settings.
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 2.
Repeat the above steps.
Highlight Template Layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Element 21 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Use Your Magic Wand and Click inside the round
frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster Layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Duplicate the paper layer.
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass:
Match your settings to mine –
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 4.
Repeat the above steps.
Highlight Template Layer 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Angled Strokes:
Direction Balance: 50
Stroke Length: 15
Sharpness: 3
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 6.
Repeat the above steps.
Highlight Template Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Angled Strokes – use
same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 9.
Repeat the above steps.
Resize 4%
Duplicate the element 3 more times for a total
of 4.
Line each of them up to cover the dots of
Template Layer 7 at the bottom.
Once they’re all in a row, Merge Visible the 4
element layers.
Duplicate the merged element layer and move
into position over the dots at the top.
Delete the template layer.
Repeat the above steps with Template Layer 10.
Create a blank canvas and flood fill it with #802530.
Copy and close the canvas out.
Highlight Template Layer 11.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Edit/Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked.
Noise: 21%
OK
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 12.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Template Layer 13.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Apply DC – Rain –
Match your settings to mine:
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. If you’re using the same tube as I did, use
the layer without the birds. No need to
resize.
Move the tube into a position you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and
choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Close the original tube out for a minute.
Change the Blend Mode of the promoted layer to
Soft Light.
Reopen the original tube and move it over the
promoted tube layer.
Resize the tube. If you’re using the same as I did, Resize 50%
and move into position.
Selection/Invert
Make your Eraser Tool active and erase
whatever overhangs the circle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, highlight
the birds layer.
Make your Selection Tool active and section
out each of the birds separately, Copy and Paste each of them onto your working
canvas.
Move them into position – see my tag for
reference.
Add your elements. I used:
El 18
El 17:
Resize 70%
El 12:
Resize 30%/Duplicate
El 56: Resize 45%
El 3:
Resize 20%/Duplicate
El 4:
Resize 15%/Duplicate 3x
Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster Layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Resize 80%
Duplicate 3x and move each one so that it
peeks out from behind each corner of the tag.
Merge Visible all 4 mask layers.
Duplicate and change the Blend Mode to Color.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #802530
Type your name.
Convert
to Raster Layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
