This tutorial was written
assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s
get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Highlight the background
layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK
Flood fill white.
Highlight Temp Layer 1.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Highlight Temp Layer 2.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 4.
Merge down.
Temp Layer 3 and Temp Layer 4 should now be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Paper 15 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Highlight Temp Layer 5.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes –
Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
Highlight Temp Layer 7.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 6.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8
Into Selection.
Click the lock icon at
the top of your layers pallet to lock the layer.
Apply Xer0 – Mistifier 2x’s:
Use Default Settings
Click the lock icon at
the top of your layers pallet to Unlock the layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Highlight Temp Layer 8.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 3 as
a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into position over
the template.
Right click on the paper in
your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original paper
layer.
Copy and paste your tube
as a new layer over the promoted layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Copy and paste element 41
as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Duplicate and resize 70%
and duplicate.
Move all 3 elements into
position over Temp Layers 9, 10, and 11.
Copy and paste element 73
as a new layer.
Resize 20%
Duplicate 3 more times.
Move all 4 elements into
position over Temp Layers 12 and 13.
Copy and paste your tube
as a new layer – see my tag for reference.
Add your elements. I used:
El 48: Resize 45%
El 4: Use Pick Tool to Flatten
El 13: Resize 70%
El 27: Free rotate Left 6 degrees/Resize 55%
El 66: Resize 85%
Highlight your white
background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate 2 more times
for a total of 3 mask layers.
2 of them resize 70% and
move into position behind each of the round frames – see my tag for reference.
The last mask, resize 90%
and keep that centered
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #d4d4d4
Background: #4c0000
Stroke width: 1
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Give it a slight Inner
Bevel:
