Noel


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Laguna which can be purchased from Picsfor Design.

Font of choice – I used Christmas Wish here

Becky mask 22 here

Rachel Designs Tag Template 41 here

Plug In used:
Brush Stroke – Crosshatch
Adjust - Variations

“Noel” is a beautiful tagger size scrap kit created by Amalie Designs and can be purchased from TinyTurtle Designs.  
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete Raster 1.
Resize all layers to 600 x 600 pixels
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK

Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Change the Opacity to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with 4.

Highlight 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Repeat the above step with 3

Highlight 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 21 Into Selection.
Deselect
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Apply Variations Plug In:
Click on Original Once
Click on Darker 2x’s.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with 8 and 10.

Highlight 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
DO NOT DELETE THE TEMPLATE LAYER.

Repeat the above step with 7 and 9.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer beneath the center frame.
Move the tube into a position that will look nice in all 3 frames – see my tag for reference.
Once you have it in a position you like –
Highlight 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
In your layers pallet highlight the tube layer and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
In your layers pallet move the tube beneath the frame on the left.
Highlight 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
In your layers pallet highlight the tube layer and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
In your layers pallet move the tube beneath the frame on the right.
Highlight 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
In your layers pallet highlight the tube layer and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
Delete the original tube layer.

To each Promoted tube layer do the following:
Duplicate
Change the Properties of the top tube to Soft Light.
To the bottom tube layer –
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian blur:
Radius: 2
OK
Lower the Opacity to 42.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position in front of all the frames – see my tag for reference.

Add your elements.  I used (see my tag for reference):
140:  Resize 60%/Duplicate
156 & 161:  Resize 45%/Use your Pick Tool to turn this way and that
114:  Resize 90%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
142:  Resize 15%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate – duplicate all 3 flowers.
70:  Resize 20%
148:  Resize 60%
153:  Resize 15%/Duplicate/Mirror
76:  Resize 10%/Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #ad6311
Background: #5e290e
Stroke set on .5
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer below your name layer.
Flood fill with #fbc652
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 44%
OK

Close out your white background.
Resize all layers 600 pixels.
Save your tag as a PNG.
