This tutorial was
written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 12 layers and White
Hearts layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
800 x 700
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #ffffff
Background: #f6c96a
Highlight Bottom Dashed Rectangles
layer.
Make your Color Replacer Tool
active.
Double Right click your mouse on the
template.
Color Pallet:
Change the background color to #5d1b16
Highlight Center Dashed Circle
layer.
Change the color of the template
just as you did in the previous step.
Highlight Left Brown Rectangle
layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into
Selection.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #8e9a59
Change the Properties to “Color”
Merge Down.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Right Brown Rectangle
layer.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Top Rust Rectangle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Bottom Rust Rectangle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Image/Flip
Selections/Defloat
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight White Oval layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with
your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 30%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Blue Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Image/Flip
Selections/Defloat
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Brown Circles layer.
Click on each circle with your Magic
Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill each circle with #8e9a59
Change the Properties to “Color”
Merge Down.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Rust Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Crème Squares layer.
Click on both squares with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new
layer.
Move into position over the left
square.
Highlight the template layer.
Click on the Left square only with
your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Right click your mouse on the layer
and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Copy.
Deselect.
Delete your original tube layer.
Highlight the template layer again.
Click on the Right square with your
Magic Wand.
Highlight the promoted layer and
paste the tube layer you copied Into Selection.
Image/Mirror
Selections/Defloat
Deselect.
Change the Properties of this layer
to Burn.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Center Brown Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste your tube as a new
layer over the paper.
Copy, Paste, and move into position behind
your tube the following elements: (Don’t worry about what overhangs the paper,
we’ll clean that up in a bit)
El 6: Duplicate/Mirror
El 20: Duplicate
Give each of the elements and your
tube a drop shadow.
Highlight the circle template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with
your Magic Wand.
Highlight each of the kit elements
and tap the delete key.
Highlight your tube layer and use
your Eraser Tool to erase everything you don’t want to overhang the circle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper layer the same slight
Inner Bevel:
Go back and give every single paper
layer the same slight Inner Bevel ACCEPT for the glitter oval and the oval
paper above it.
Add your elements. I used:
El 80: Duplicate/Mirror
El 63
El 50: Resize 25%/Duplicate
El 42: Resize 25%
El 11: Resize 40%
El El 10: Resize 30%/Duplicate
El 35: Resize 25%
El 36: Resize 25%/Mirror
El 13: Resize 60%
El 52: Resize 50%El 19: Resize 50%/Duplicate as many times as you
like.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name:
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #3e2210
Background: #7f3c1b
Make your Text Tool active
Set the Stroke Width to 2.
Type your name
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group.
