This tutorial was
written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 90%.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 650
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 7 layers and Red
Circle layer.
Highlight White Stripes layer.
Click on each one with your Magic
Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 16 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Copy and paste El 12 as a new layer.
Move into position over the top
strip matching the left side of the strip with the left side of the element.
Duplicate the element/Mirror
Match the right side of the element
up with the right side of the strip.
Merge Visible both element layers.
Duplicate 3x’s and move each element
layer into position over a strip.
Highlight Rid Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Green Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Light Green Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Open up a new 500 x 500 canvas.
Flood fill with #967d6f
Copy.
Close the image out as you’ll no
longer need it.
Highlight Dotted Rectangle layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste the flood fill color Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Green Circle layer.
Change the color of it to #d79ba8
Highlight Brown Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into
Selection.
Copy and paste what will be your
main tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Copy and paste the tube that will be
behind the main tube as a new layer over the paper layer. To this tube change the Properties to
Luminance (Legacy) and lower the Opacity to about 26.
Move both tubes into their exact
positions.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the background tube and
tap the delete key.
Highlight the main tube and use your
Eraser Tool to erase what you don’t want to overhang the circle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Add your elements. I used:
El 105: Resize 30%/Use your Pick Tool and flatten it
out a little
El 96: Resize 40%
El 95: Resize 25%
El 25: Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 23: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 18: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 45: Duplicate/Mirror
El 2: Resize 30%
El 13: Resize 70%/Flip
El 24: Resize 70%
El 55: Duplicate/Mirror
El 121: Duplicate/Mirror/Merge
Down/Duplicate/Flip
Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster Layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate
Add your copyrights.
Add your name:
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #46403b
Background: #d1899b
Make your Text Tool active.
Set the stroke on 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
Don’t give it a drop shadow just
yet.
Make your Freehand Selection Tool
active set on Freehand.
Section around the bottom 1/3 of
your name.
Press Ctrl + H – Your Feather
Selection Box will open up.
Number of Pixels: 27
OK
Press Shift + B – Your Brightness/Contrast
Box will appear.
Brightness: -85
Contrast: 12
OK
Deselect.
Now you can add your drop shadow.
