This tutorial was written
assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s
get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Highlight the background
layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK
Flood fill white.
Highlight Temp Layer 1.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply a slight Inner
Bevel:
Delete the template
layer.
Highlight Temp Layer 2.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 3.
Flood fill with #ebe4d4
(just place your flood fill tool right over the template and click the mouse)
Apply Xero – Fritillary:
Use Default Settings.
Highlight Temp Layer 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 15
as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move into position over
the template layer (the paper is shorter than the template. It’s ok, you can’t see that part)
Right click on the paper
in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer.”
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give the paper the same
slight Inner Bevel.
Repeat the above step
with Temp Layer 5.
Copy and paste E70 as a
new layer.
Resize 50%
Free rotate Left 90
degrees
Duplicate
Move both elements into
position behind the Promoted Papers you just worked on.
Highlight Temp Layer 6.
Flood fill this template
with #da8189.
Apply Xero – Fritillary –
use Same settings.
Give it the same slight
Inner Bevel.
Highlight Temp Layer 8.
Merge Down to Temp Layer 7.
Both templates should now
be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Highlight Temp Layer 9.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
Paste Paper 15 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give the paper the same
slight Inner Bevel.
Highlight Temp Layer 11.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 10.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 4 as
a new layer.
Resize 35%
Move into position over
the template layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give it a slight
Inner bevel:
Highlight Temp Layer 12.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 13.
Flood Fill with #7eb9b7
Adjust/Add Remove
Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome
checked
Noise: 3%
OK
Give it a
slight Inner Bevel:
Highlight Temp Layer 15.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Temp Layer 14.
Highlight Temp Layer 14.
Flood will with #f3d5d7
Adjust/Add Remove
Noise/Add Noise:
Use Same Settings
Highlight Temp Layer 16.
Flood fill with #f3d5d7
Add the same noise
effect.
Give it the same slight
Inner Bevel.
Click anywhere outside of
the heart with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste your tube
as a new layer over the heart.
Use your Eraser Tool and
erase only the part of the tube you don’t want seen.
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube
as a new layer – see my tag for reference.
Add your elements. I used:
85: Resize 75%
15: Resize 50%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
38: Resize 60%
12: Resize 50%/Duplicate
18 & 19: Resize 45%
45 & 46: Resize 30%
56; Resize 45%
Highlight your white
background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian
Blur:
Radius: 8%
OK
Apply the mask.
Resize 120%
OK
Merge Group.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background:
#2a2828
Stroke width: 1
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Give it a slight Inner
Bevel:
