Summer Heat


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice and 1 image – I used the beautiful artwork of Tony Mauro which can be purchased from MyTubed Art.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Luna Bar here

Weescotlass mask 249 here

Millie’s PSP Madness Template 388 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 3 layers.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK
Open up the background layer and flood fill white.

Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight 3.
Merge Down.
2 & 3 should now be on the same layer and the layer should be named “2” now.  Leave it like that as we’ll come back to this layer later on in the tutorial.
Click on each rectangle with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
DO NOT Delete the template layer.

Highlight 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Your Image Into Selection.
Lock the layer by click on the Lock Icon at the top of your layers pallet.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 7
OK
Unlock the layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight 6.
Merge Down.
5 & 6 should now be on the same layer.
Click on each rectangle with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Center it between the 2 gold rectangles.
Once you have it in exact position, duplicate the tube and resize it just a little larger.  Duplicate the resized tube.
Change the properties of the resized tubes to Soft Light.
Move them into position over the paper that belong to the template layer named “2”.
Once you have the tubes in their exact positions – to each tube:
Highlight the template layer.
Click anywhere outside of the rectangle with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
You can delete the template layer now.

Add your elements.  I used:
38:  Resize 45%/Duplicate/Mirror
43:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror
17:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Mirror/Flip
18:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Flip/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
69:  Duplicate
9:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror
10:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror
58:  Resize 60%/Free rotate Left 90 degrees/Duplicate
8:  Resize 35%
11:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror
50:  Use Pick Tool to flatten just a little/Duplicate/Mirror/Flatten quite a bit
6:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
3:  Resize 15%
1:  Resize 15%
49:  Resize 25%/Duplicate as many times as you like
4:  Resize 10%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 7
OK
Apply the mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #210b00
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize to a width of 500 pixels.
Save as a png.

I'll Make You See Stars


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Alex Prihodko which can be purchased from Pics for Design.  You must generate a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Coughy Machine here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes – Crosshatch

Millie’s PSP Madness template 303 here

 “Beach Bash USA” is free to use tagger size scrap kit created by Tasha’s Playground and can be downloaded from her blog here.  Don’t forget to leave Tasha a thank you.  It’s always very much appreciated.
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete CR layer, 18, and 17
Open up the Background layer.

I found I had to move the words and stars over a little.
So for now, copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move it into about the position you want it.
Adjust the wording and stars if needed.
Close out your tube for now.

Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Adjust/Blur/Radial Blur:
Match your settings to mine –

Merge Down.
The paper and template should now be on one layer.
Deselect.

Highlight 2.
Copy and paste Frame 2 as a new layer.
Resize the frame 90% and center it over the template layer.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight the frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Flood fill with #12abe1
Effects/Texture Effects/Blind:
Match your settings to mine –
Deselect.

Highlight 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 4.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight 5.
Copy and paste Frame 3 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Free rotate Left 3 Degrees.
Move into position over the template layer.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight the Frame layer.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Match your settings to mine –

Highlight the frame layer.
Merge down.
The frame and paper should now be on the same layer.
Duplicate
Move into position over Template Layer over layer 6.
Delete 6.

Highlight 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Apply the same Crosshatch effect, use same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 8.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #e40a06
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Forground: #030303
Background: #19a6da

Highlight 10.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.
Zoom in on the template layer and double right click your mouse on it.
The dots should turn blue.

Highlight 14.
Copy and paste BottleCap 2 as a new layer.
Center it over template layer 14.
Duplicate the element and move into position over template layer 13.

Delete template layers 11, 12, 13, and 14.

Highlight 15.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #fbfbfb
Effects/Texture Effects/Straw Wall:
Match your settings to mine –

Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #12abe1
Background:  #e40a06
Set the foreground to Gradient:
Style: Linear
Angle: 42
Repeats: 2

Highlight 16.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Raster 12 template layer (“I’ll make you see” wording).
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #12abe1.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Repeat the above step with:
Raster 13 template layer, Raster 14, and Copy of Raster 14.

Add your elements.  I used:
Sand: Flatten it using your Pick Tool
Balloons 1, 2, and 3:  Resize 90%
Starfish:  Resize 30%/Duplicate
Fireworks 2 and 4:  Resize 90%
Bow:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
Confetti:  Duplicate
Boom Box:  Resize 60%
Soda:  Resize 60%/Duplicate
Rocket:  Resize 70%/Free rotate Right 7 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #001163
Background: #e30905
Stroke: 1.0

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner bevel 4x’s:

Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 38%
OK
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer below your name.
Flood fill with #fafafa
Deselect.
Merge Visible both name layers.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize all layers 500 pixels.
Save as a png.

Beach 2014


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Verymany which can be purchased from here.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Architect’s Daughter here

My mask 27 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 4 layers.

Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #999685
Background:  #e0644f

Make your Color Replacer Tool active:

Highlight LAYER 1.
Move your mouse over the template and double right click your mouse.
It should have turned to the red color.
Repeat this with the following template layers:
LAYER 2, LAYER 3, LAYER 4, LAYER 5, and LAYER 13

Color Pallet:
Change just the foreground to #929cb5

Highlight LAYER 18.
Double Right click your mouse over the template.
It should have turned to the red color.

Highlight LAYER 5.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight LAYER 7.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer.
Resize 30%
Move into a position you like over the template layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 26
Sharpness: 2
Strength: 2
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight LAYER 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above step with LAYER 14.

Highlight LAYER 12
Merge Down.
LAYERS 11 & 12 should now be on the same layer.
Click on each square with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Make your Target Tool Active:

Change the color of the paper to #71d0dd.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Move it into a position you like.
Highlight the merged template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper layer the same slight Inner Bevel.

Copy and paste Element 68 as a new layer.
Free rotate Left 90 degrees.
Resize 70%
Copy.
Delete the element as you won’t be using it any more.

Highlight LAYER 15.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste the element Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with LAYER 16.

Highlight LAYER 17.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it beside the squares

Add your elements.  I used:
50
28:  Resize 30%/Duplicate
15:  Resize 15%
14:  Resize 10%/Duplicate
8:  Resize 20% and 80%/Free rotate Right 8 degrees
56:  Resize 50%/Use Pick Tool to flatten just a little
49:  Resize 40% and 50%/Position beside your tube
49 again:  Resize 50%
9:  Resize 15%/Free rotate Left 30 degrees
55:  Resize 20%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #e0654f
Type your name.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel as the last one you used.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize to 500 pixels.
