Easter Garden


Supplies Needed

Font of choice – I used Walker on the Moon here

Monti Circular Mask here

Millie’s PSP Madness template 130 here

 “Easter Garden” is a tagger size scrap kit created by Susan of Tootypup Scraps and can be purchased from any of her stores here.  Thank you, Susan for another outstandingly beautiful scrap kit! 
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 5 layers.
Open up the background layer.

Highlight template 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight template layer 2.
Repeat the above step.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #403544

Highlight template layer 3.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active and double right click your mouse on the dotted circle.
It should change to your background color.

Highlight template 4 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight template 5 layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Mirror
Highlight the template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Position the paper over the template.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight template 6 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.
Add the following elements as new layers just over the paper layer.  Move them into position – see my tag for reference.  Don’t worry about what overhangs.  We’ll clean it up in a bit.
Rainbow_01:  Resize 60%/Change the Properties to Screen
Easter Garden_02:  Resize 65/Mirror
Chicken_02:  Resize 70%
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add the rest of the elements.  I used:
Bow 4:  Resize 33%
Easter Daisies_02A
Daisy Cluster_01
Rabbit_00a
Chicken_01a:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror
Wild Grass_01

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Duplicate/Change the Properties to Multiply
Merge Down.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Copy and paste Sunrays_01 as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Move into position – see my tag for reference.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #98829e
Background: #403544
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 85%.

Spring Sighs

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 3 layers and #3 layer.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 700
OK
Highlight Bg layer.
Flood fill white.

Highlight template 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Duplicate the round paper layer.
Mirror
Flip
Move into position over template 2 layer.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Wire Frame as a new layer.
Resize 55%
Duplicate/Mirror
Move each frame into position over the circle paper layers – see my tag for reference.

Open up Paper 2.
Use your Selection Tool set on Rectangle and section out the “image” only of the paper.
Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight template 4 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste the paper Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight template 5 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight template 6 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste the following elements as new layer, positioning them over the paper layer.  Don’t worry about what overhangs the paper.  We’ll clean that up in a bit.
Fantasy House 2:  Resize 60%
Ladder:  Resize 25%
Walk
Mouse:  Resize 10%
Sunday:  Resize 40%
Eggss:  Resize 10%/Duplicate/Mirror
Eggss 2:  Resize 10%
Bunny:  Resize 15%

Once all elements are in position –
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight template 7 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper (1) Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Add the following elements as new layer just over the paper layer.  Don’t worry about what overhangs.  We’ll clean it up in a bit.
Home Sweet Home:  Resize 40%
Tree 2:  Resize 50%
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight template 8 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Gaussian checked
Noise:  40%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste BunnyEggs as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Move into position so that a little bit of the egg overlaps the bottom right corner frame – see my tag for reference.
Highlight the frame layer.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the bunnyegg element and use your Eraser Tool to erase the part of the egg that overlaps the frame.
Deselect.

Add the rest of the elements.  I used:
Bird:  Resize 20%
Sunflower:  Resize 35%/Duplicate
Sunflower again:  Resize 15%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate all 3 flower layers
Green:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Duplicate/Resize 70%
Grass:  Resize 60%
Cute Chick:  Resize 20%
Cute Chick 2:  Resize 20%
Eggss:  Resize 10%/Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate
Mirror

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #150b05
Background: #4b5808
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 85%.

Days Past

Supplies Needed

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 700
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete Info, 3 lines, both small circle layers, and both frame layers that belong to the small circles.

Highlight Top Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 12 as a new layer and move into a position you like over the template layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Tip: You must do the following steps (as much as it may not make any sense!) or your Pool Shadow Plug In effect will not work.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Section around the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Click anywhere outside of the paper with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II – Pool Shadow:
Use Default Settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Btm Rectangle.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #3f161c
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random & Monochrome checked
Noise: 80%
OK
Deselect.

Repeat the above step with the other Frame layer and Noise Circle layer.

Highlight Circle 1 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Gradient Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Change the Properties of the tube to Overlay and move into position.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Paste your tube again as a new layer and resize a little.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Move your tube to the top of your layers pallet.
Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #211c19
Background: #211c19

Highlight Dotted Circle layer.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active.
Double Right Click your mouse on the dotted circle layer.
It should have turned to the background color of your color pallet.

Copy and paste El 123 (from Pt 2 Folder) as a new layer.
Resize 20%
Duplicate/Mirror
Place each corner element at the corner of the top left rectangle.
Merge Visible both corner elements.
Duplicate/Flip/Position at the bottom of the rectangle.
Duplicate each merged element layer and position over the bottom right rectangle.

Add your elements.  I used:
El 17:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate/Duplicate and flip each flower
El 9:  Resize 70%/Duplicate
El 10:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
El 13:  Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
El 46:  Resize 35%
El 75:  Resize 80%
El 60:  Resize 45%
(from Pt 2 Folder)
EL 112:  Resize 30%/Duplicate/Mirro4

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #5e534c
Background: #a7ad7e
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 85%.

Floppy Ears & Fluffy Rears

“Floppy Ears & Fluffy Rears” is a tagger size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased at any of my stores here.  The list of them is in the upper right corner. 
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

One of the elements in this tutorial is a basket filled with eggs.  We’re going to fill that basket now and get it out of the way….

Open up El41.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Copy and paste the following elements as new layers over the basket layer –
El 9:  Resize 35%
El 5:  Resize 40%
El 8:  Resize 35%
El 7:  Resize 40%
El 6:  Resize 40%
Arrange the eggs how you would like them to look in the basket.
Duplicate the basket layer and move to the top of your layers pallet.
Make your Freehand Selection Tool active set on Point to Point.
Select along the bows and basket and section off the “inside area” of the basket:

Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Merge Visible all layers.
Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer.
Close this layer out for now.

Copy and paste El 13 as a new layer.
Click inside of each section with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Add the following elements below the frame  (don’t worry about what overhangs the frame).  We’ll clean that up in a bit –
El 20: Duplicate
El 11:  Resize 60% - move a layer of grass behind the bunny house
El 58:  Resize 60%
El 1:  Resize 40%
El 5:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Left 100 degrees
El 25:  Resize 35%
Open up the basket of eggs you made and resize 40%

Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste El10 as a new layer.
Move into exact position – see my tag for reference.
Copy and paste El 26 as a new layer.
Resize 60% and move into position – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate and move this layer below the first layer of grass.
Highlight the original element and erase the bottom part of the bunny so that the furry little guy looks like he’s standing IN the grass.

Add the rest of your elements.  I used:
El 22:  Resize 35%/Mirror
El 66:  Resize 80%
El 36:  Resize 50%
El 47:  Resize 35%
El 64:  Resize 50%
El 70:  Resize 70%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 10
OK
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Crop your image – be careful you don’t clip off any of the mask!

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #874b92
Background: #fec1e0
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 85%.
