Fairy Wishes

 


Supplies Needed


1 tube of choice – I used the adorable artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.

Font of choice – I used The Quick Frog here

My mask 27 here

Rachel Designs template 107 here

“Wishing Star” is a Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be downloaded here.  

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Resize
By Pixels checked
Lock aspect ratio box checked
Resize all layers checked
Width & Height: 700 x 700 pixels
OK
Highlight the white background layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
Be sure "Lock Aspect Ratio" is checked
Width: 800
Under Placement make sure the center block is checked
OK
Flood fill #ffffff to fill in the background

Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer above the paper layer.  Move into a position you like. 
Right click on the tube layer and choose "Promote Section to Layer" from the sub menu.
Delete the original tube layer.
Change the Properties of the Promoted tube layer to Soft Light.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the paper layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise 30%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above steps with layers 6 and 7 except omit the tube.

Highlight 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 3.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Select/Modify/Contract
Number of Pixels: 4
OK
Selections/Invert
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings.
Repeat Noise effect.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.  If you're using the same one as I did, resize 50%.

Add your elements.  See my tag for placement.  I used:
El 12:  Resize 80%
El 76:  Duplicate/Mirror
El 116:  Resize 40%
El 3:  Resize 30%
El 2:  Resize 25% Mirror
El 92:  Resize 55%
El 94:  Resize 55%/Mirror
El 58:  Resize 30%
El 117
El 7:  Resize 30%
El 9:  Resize 25%
El 17: Resize 45%
El 5:  Resize 40%
El 24, 25, 27, 28:  Resize 25% 

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Choose any color.
Type your name.
Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2x's:


Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer below the name layer.
Flood fill with #e7e99e.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings.
Deselect.
Merge Visible both name layers.

Tears for Humanity

 


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from

Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Resize
By Pixels checked
Lock aspect ratio box checked
Resize all layers checked
Width & Height: 700 x 700 pixels
OK
Highlight the white background layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
800 x 800 pixels
Under Placement make sure the center block is checked
OK

Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and past Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Add Remove noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 20%
OK
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Delete the template layer.

Highlight 2.
Repeat the above steps 
Delete Template 3 layer.

Highlight 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper the same slight inner bevel.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight 5.
Repeat the above steps.

 Highlight 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes:
Stroke Length: 12
Spray Radius: 7
Stroke Direction: Right Diag
OK
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight 7.
Repeat the above steps. 

Highlight 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes:
Use Same Settings.
Apply same Inner Bevel.
Delete template layer.

Highlight 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 6.
Rotate right – the stripes should now be going horizontal.
Copy and close the paper out.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes:
Use same settings.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection (the paper should still be in the program’s memory)
Image/Flip/Flip Vertical.
Deselect.
Apply the same sprayed strokes and inner bevel.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 11.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Click the Lock Icon at the top of your layers pallet to lock the layer.
Adjust/Blur/Radial Blur:
Match your settings to mine:


Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

 Highlight 12.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 13.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance.
Delete the template layer. 

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.  If you’re using the same tube as I did, resize 50%.
Move into placement with in the frame.
Give the tube a drop shadow.
Highlight the frame and click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Erase the bottom portion of the tube that overhangs the frame.
Deselect. 

Add your elements.  I used:
El 27
El 11: Erase bottom part of the stem
El 9:  Resize 30%/Mirror
El 12:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 59:  Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
El 12:  Resize 45%/ Free Rotate Right 10 degrees
El 39: Resize 60%/Free rotate Left 75 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror 

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

 Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #2c2f1b
Background: #3c3f2a
Set the stroke to 1.
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Apply Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes:
Use same settings.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel:

Bluebells Fairy Baby

 


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.

Font of choice – I used EK Bliss (I’m sorry, could not find a link)

Childish Kid font is comparable here

Gem mask 226 here

My template 189 here

“Blueberry Hill” is a Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

  This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

 Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the following layers:
Credit, Layer 17, Layer 16, Layer 6, Layer 3, and Layer 1.

Highlight Layer 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a sight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Layer 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer over the template layer.
Resize the paper 60%.
Move into position over the template.
Right click on the paper in your Layer’s Pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Open up Element 9.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere on the inside the element frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 14.
Copy

Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer and resize 45%
Move into position over the template Layer 5.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 5 as a new layer at the top of your layers pallet and resize 60%.
Copy and paste Element 1 as a new layer
Move both paper and flowers into a position you like over the template – be sure both will cover all 3 template layers across the canvas.
Right click on the paper in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Right Click on the flower element and choose “Promote Section to Layer.”
Deselect.
Move the promoted paper layer and promoted flowers in your layers pallet so they are just above the matching template.
You can now delete the template.
Give the promoted paper layer the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above steps with Layer 9 and Layer 11.
You can then delete the original paper layer and flowers element layer.

Highlight Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked:
Noise: 30%
OK

Repeat the above steps with Layer 12 and Layer 18. 

Highlight Layer 14.
Merge Down.
Layer 13 and 14 should now be on the same layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 15.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the paper layer of the merged template.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel accept change Bevel to #4.
OK 

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. 

Add your elements.  I used:
El 7
El 20:  Resize 85%
El 29:  Resize 45%
El 24:  Resize 70%
El 21:  Resize 90% 

 Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/blur/Motion Blur:
Angle: 142
Strength: 100%
OK
Blur once more using same settings.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #e9dea7
Set the stroke to 1.
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2.
Flood fill with #79baa6
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2 times:
Using same settings.
If you like, use a butterfly to decorate your name.  I resized mine 30%.

Crimson and Clover

 


Supplies Needed

“Northern Exposure” is a free to use scrap kit by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be found here

  This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.


Copy and paste El 57 as a new layer.
Resize 75%
OK

 Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer just above your white background layer.
Resize 45%
Highlight the element layer and click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the paper layer.
Tap the Delete key.
Deselect for now.
Delete the original paper layer.
Make your Freehand Selection Tool active.
Highlight the paper layer.
Carefully section out the bits of paper that overhang the bauble element.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

 Copy and paste your tube as a new layer just above the paper layer.
Resize and move into position as you like.  If you’re using the same tube I did, resize 45%
OK.
Give the tube a drop shadow.
Make your Magic Wand active.
Highlight the bauble element.
Click anywhere outside of the element with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the tube layer.
Make your Eraser Tool active and erase any part of the tube that overhangs the bauble element.  If there are little bits (like what happened with the paper layer) that overhang the element then use your Freehand Selection Tool to section out and delete them.
Deselect.

 Add your elements.  I used:
El 40
El 30: Duplicate/Mirror/flip
El 34:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
El 50:  Resize 70%
El 51:  Resize 60%
El 10

 Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

 Add your copyrights.

 Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #63252a
Background: #cc2a3e
Set the stroke to 1.
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2 times:
