Good Morning Spring


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Gary George and can be purchased from Up Your Art.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Great Vibes here

Becky Mask 22 here

Vickie’s Template 18 here

Plug Ins used:
Mura’s Meister – Copies
Xero – Porcelain
Eyecandy 4000 – Gradient Glow

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size
750 x 500
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the credit layer.

Highlight Gray Strips layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Black Ovals layer.
Click on each oval with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper layer the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Gray Ovals layer.
Click on each one with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and position it in front of the center oval.
Duplicate the tube layer and move into position over the left Oval – see my tag for reference.
Lower the Opacity of the tube to about 67.
Apply Xero – Porcelain:
Use Default settings.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Mirror
Move into position over the right Oval.
Highlight the Gray Oval template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each of the tubes you just worked on and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Flower 7 as a new layer.
Resize 25%
Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies:
Choose Line
Use Default Settings
OK
Erase the first and last flowers.
Move the flower line into position over the top strip – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate and move into position over the bottom strip.

Copy and paste Flower 3 as a new layer.
Resize 15
Duplicate the flower and move both into position like this:

Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies:
Same effect – Same settings
Move into position behind the top blue line of flowers and erase what overhangs on each side.
Duplicate
Move into position behind the bottom line of blue flowers.

Copy and paste Greenery as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Flip
Use your Target Tool and change the color of this element to #9dddb6 – you won’t see much change to the color…not yet any way.
Press Shift + B – the brightness/contrast box will appear:
Brightness: 74
Contrast: 10
OK
Duplicate
Mirror
Move each element into position – see my tag for reference.
Merge Visible both element layers.
Select All
Press Ctrl + H on your keyboard – the Feather Selection Box will appear:
Number of Pixels: 25
OK
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key 3x’s.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
Rainbow 2:  Resize 95%/Erase the clouds/Lower the Opacity to about 69
Heart:  Resize 10%/Duplicate 2x’s and mirror one of them/Line them along the side of the oval/Duplicate and Mirror each heart
Bubbles:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
Flower 7:  Resize 35%
Flower 3:  Resize 30%/Duplicate

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out a little.
Merge Group.
Duplicate.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground & Background: #9dddb6
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Apply Eyecandy 4000 – Gradient Glow:
Basic Tab:
Glow Width: 3
Soft Corners: 25
Overall Opacity: 100
Color Tab:
#ffffff

Resize and save your tag to 500 pixels wide.

Angel


Supplies Needed

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 700
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 2 layers, Rasters 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1.

Highlight Raster 5 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 10 as a new layer.
Move into a position over the circle template you like.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Raster 7 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Raster 9 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Raster 13.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #d9ccb9
Background: #6c5a4a

Highlight Raster 10 layer.
Make your Color Replacer Tool active and double right click on the dotted lines.

Highlight Raster 11 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Copy and paste one of your tubes as a new layer over the paper layer.
Change the Properties of the tube to Overlay.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Flower as a new layer.
Resize 15%
Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies:
Choose Encircle
Change the top 3 numbers to –
Number: 44
Shift X: 60
Shift Y: 60
OK

Move the ring of flowers over the large circle – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate the ring of flowers.
Resize 70%
Duplicate
Move each ring into position over the smaller circles – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Bow:  Resize 30%/Change color to #6c5a4a/Duplicate/Mirror
Cross:  Resize 65%
Feather:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Free rotate Left 35 degrees
Sparkles

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate the mask layer 2x’s

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  null
Background: #6c5a4a
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.

Resize all layers 85%.

Adrift



Supplies Needed

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 3 layers.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #163127
Background: #b9b6b7
Set the foreground to gradient with these settings:

Highlight the Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Duplicate the layer.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 20
OK
Merge Down.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 20%
OK
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 25
Sharpness: 1
Strength: 1
OK
From the tube - Copy and paste the Stars layer as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #6e5060
Background: #dacddb
Set the foreground to gradient and match your settings to mine:

Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Check off “Invert” on the gradient.

Highlight Rectangle 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Glitter Oval layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #644d04
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 41
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #808080
Background: #17272a

Highlight Rec 1 Dotted Corner layer.
Make your Color Replacer tool active and double right click on the dotted corner.

Highlight Rec 2 Dotted Corner layer.
Repeat the above step.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
See my tag for placement.

Add the elements I supplied – see my tag for placement:
Flower 1:  Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
Flower 2:  Flip/Place behind the top left of the oval/Duplicate
Flower 2 again:  Mirror/Place behind the bottom right of the oval
Cattail:  Place in front of the tube, Duplicate/Resize 60%/Change the Properties to Soft Light/Duplicate
Leaf: Place behind the bottom right rectangle/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste the image layer from the tube Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out slightly.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #583d21
Background: #98c6c8
Stroke: 1.0
Type your name.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel:
Deselect.

Decorate your name with Flower 3

Resize all layers 85%.

Kitten Wishes Upon Falling Stars


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice.  I'm using the adorable artwork of Lisa Cree which can be purchased from her store, PSP Tube Stop.

Font of choice - I'm using Chicken Basket here

Plug Ins used:
Mura’s Meister – Copies

“A Dragon’s Dreamy Day” is a tagger size scrap kit created by me and can be purchased from any of my stores here.  You'll find the list in the upper right corner.
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 750 x 700 canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle and create a rectangle approximately 200 x 500 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Don’t worry about placement yet.

Open up Paper 5.
In your color pallet close out the foreground.
Change the background to Pattern and look for Paper 5.
Angle: 0
Scale: 70

Make your Ellipse Tool active and create a circle that’s approximately 425 pixels.
Convert to raster layer.
Duplicate the circle layer.
Resize 110%
Move all 3 shape layers into exact position – see my tag for reference.

Highlight the larger circle.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 7.
New Raster layer below the circle layer.
Copy and paste Paper 16 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Highlight the smaller circle.
Repeat the above step.

Copy and paste El 73 as a new layer.
Free rotate Left 90 degrees
Tap the letter K on your keyboard to active your Pick Tool and push the side in slightly just to thin the ribbon out a little.
Move it into position – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste El 60 as a new layer.
Free rotate Left 90 degrees.
Resize 95%.
Move into position over the bow on the ribbon.

Copy and paste El 4 as a new layer.
Resize 10%
Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies:
Choose Encircle
Change the top 3 numbers to:
Number: 46
Shift X: 65
Shift Y: 65
OK
Move this ring into position behind the small green paper layer.
Duplicate the ring.
Resize 110% and move into position behind the larger green paper layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and move into position over the purple rectangle layer.
Highlight the purple paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties of the tube to Soft Light.

Paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position in front of the small cloud circle layer – see my tag for reference.

Add your elements.  I used:
El 47
El 55:  Resize 75%
El 12:  Resize 70%
El 34:  Resize 50%
El 54:  Resize 40%
El 46:  Resize 60%
El 67:  Duplicate/Erase the big side of the element that overlaps the other
El 71:  Resize 50%/Free rotate Left 75 degrees
El 72:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Left 75 degrees
El 9:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Right 25 degrees
El 79:  Duplicate 2x’s

Highlight your white canvas. 
New Raster Layer. 
Select All. 
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Duplicate/Change the Properties to Multiply.
Merge Down. 
Apply the mask. 
Merge Group.
Duplicate
Merge Down.
Duplicate
Move one mask toward the upper left area of your canvas and the other to the lower right area of the canvas.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name:
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #bdb5f5
Background: #ae6378
Stroke: .8

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
