Frog Faery


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the amazing artwork of Sarah Pauline which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Boyz R Gross here 

My template 258 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes – Angled Strokes

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~ 

Open up the template.
Shift + D.

Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer. 

Open up the tube layer.
Highlight the Image layer.
Copy

Make the template active.
Highlight Layer 2.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Make the tube image active.
Flip Vertical.
Copy.

Make the template active.
Highlight Layer 1.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 3.
Make your Magic Wand active and click on it.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #8daf62
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 5
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 4.
Repeat the above step. 

Highlight Layer 5.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Flood Fill with #452a1c
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 60%
OK
Deselect. 

Highlight Layer 9.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Layer 6.
Click on it with our Magic Wand.
Make your tube image active and flip it vertically so that it’s in the correct position again.
Copy.
Make the template active.
Paste as a new layer.  Move it into a position you like – I chose the area at the right side where you see the leaves with the purple background.
Right click on the image in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to layer”
Close out the original image layer for now.

To the promoted layer, Apply Brush Strokes – Angled Strokes:
Direction Balance: 50
Stroke Length: 15
Sharpness: 3
OK
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.  Resize the tube 35%.
Mirror it and move into a position you like over the paper layer.
Highlight the template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer. 
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to layer”.
Delete the original tube layer.
Change the Blend Mode of the promoted layer to Overlay.
Deselect
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 7.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Flood fill with #452a1c.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Layers 12 & 13.

Highlight Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #454995
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 5%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Reopen the image layer and move it just above this template layer.
Move into a position you like – I chose the yellowish area near the wing.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Apply Brush Strokes – Angle Strokes, using same settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Layer 11.
Repeat the above step.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and move into position over the right circle.

If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 30%.

Copy and paste the element I supplied.
Duplicate.
Flip one and Mirror/Flip the other.
See my tag for placement.

Highlight the white background layer.
Copy and paste the Image layer from the tube and paste as a new layer.
Choose an area of the image you like and leave it in place.
Duplicate and change the Blend Mode to Multiply.

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #020204
Background: #5a3b10
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Apply a slight Bevel 2x’s:

Northern Lights

 


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the gorgeous artwork of J.W. Baker which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Coneria Script here 

Mask 586 in Package 12 by Rene here

Brush Strokes – Crosshatch

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK
Flood fill Raster 1 layer white.
Delete the credit layer. 

Highlight Raster 2 layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer above the template layer.
Flood fill with #17222e.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 57%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with –
Raster template layers 4, 5, and 10. 

Open up a new 700 x 700 canvas:
OK
Flood fill it with the color you just used: #17222e
Copy. 

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Raster 8 template layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer above the template layer.
Paste the color Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with template Raster layer 9.

Highlight Raster 3 template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste NL-4 Into Selection.
Lock the layer by clicking on the lock icon at the top of the layers pallet.
Effects/Texture Effect/Mosaic Glass:
Match your settings to mine:

OK
Click the lock icon again to unlock the layer.

Highlight Raster 6 template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste NL-3 as a new layer just above the template layer.
Resize 70%
Move into a position over the template that you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Apply Brush Strokes – Cross Hatch:
Stroke Length: 39
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste NL-4 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Cross Hatch – same settings.
Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Screen.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Raster 7 template layer.
Repeat the above steps.
You can then delete the original paper layer.

Highlight Raster 11 template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste NL-3 as a new layer.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original paper layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.  If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 60%.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste the tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 40% 

Add the elements.
All are the correct size, except duplicate the bush and resize one of them 60%

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste NL-3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group. 

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:

Foreground and Background: #0a0c01
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Apply a slight Bevel 5x’s:

Free Rotate your name Left 15 Degrees.

Sweet Valentine

 


Supplies Needed 

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Janna Prosvirina which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Love Barlley here 

Mask 494 in Package 10 by Rene here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste element 60 as a new layer.
Resize 70%.
Make your Magic Wand active and click inside of each frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer just above the paper layer.
Resize the tube as you like and move into a position you like.  If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 80%.
Right Click on the tube in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.  Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy).
Apply Xero – Porcelain:
Use Default settings except change the blue channel to Zero.
Deselect.

Move the original tube layer so that it’s above the frame layer.  If you’re using the same tube as I did, resize another 70%.  Move into a position you like over the bottom frame – see my tag for reference.
Highlight the frame layer and click inside the bottom frame.
Selections/Invert
Make your Eraser Tool active and erase any part of the tube you don’t want to see.
Deselect. 

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 56:  Resize 60%
El 5
El 88:  Resize 45%
El 84:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 29 & 30:  Resize 20%/Duplicate
El 29 & 30 (again): Resize 20% and 70%/Duplicate 3 times for a total of 4
El 28:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Left 10 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
El 31:  Resize 25%
El 70:  Resize 70%
El 9:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Left 15%
El 71:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
El 94:  Resize 30%
El 106:  Resize 50%
El 11:  Resize 40%
El 97:  Resize 20%/Duplicate 

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur: 
Radius: 5
OK
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #0a0c01
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Change Foreground and Background color to: #c52656
Convert to Raster layer and move below the black colored name and offset it just a little.
Merge Visible both name layers.

All for Love

 



Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – the tube in this tutorial is included with the kit

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~ 

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.

Delete the top 11 layers and Bottom Dashed Rectangles layer. 
Copy and paste Element 87 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move it into position so that it covers Left Brown Rectangle template.
Duplicate the element and move it into position over Right Brown Rectangle template.
Delete both template layers.

Highlight Top Rust Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Delete the template layer.

Highlight Bottom Rust Rectangle.
Repeat the above step.

Open up Element 2.
Male your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Section out the largest heart on the right side.
Copy.
Make your working canvas active and paste as a new layer.
Move it into position over the top white heart template.
Duplicate the element layer.
Move into position over the bottom heart template.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight White Oval layer.
New Raster layer.
Flood Fill with #920000.
Highlight the White Oval layer.

Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the flood fill layer in your layers pallet and right click your mouse.
Choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Deselect. 

Close the flood fill layer out and move it into position over Center Dashed Circle template layer.
Highlight the Center Dashed Circle template layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
Highlight the Flood Fill layer.
Right click on it in your layers pallet.
Choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the Center Dashed Circle Template layer. 

In your layers pallet move the flood fill layer just above Center Shape White template layer.
Repeat the above step.
This time give the promoted layer the same slight inner bevel you gave the paper layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer and Flood Fill layer. 

Highlight Blue Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Brown Circles layer.
Click inside the left circle with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer above the template layer.
Copy and paste Element 94 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Highlight the template layer once more.
Click inside the right circle with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the layer above that you just pasted the element into.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rust Strip template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 14.
Click the Rotate Left green button.
Copy.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.
Duplicate the layer and change the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight the Crème Squares template layer.
Click on each square with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 15 as a new layer.
Right Click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer and template layer.

Highlight Center Brown Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 3 as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Right Click on it in your layers pallet.  Choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original paper layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. 
Move into a position you like within the circle paper layer.  If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 45%. Right Click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
Apply Xero – Porcelain:
Use Default settings accept turn the Blue Channel to zero.
Delete the original tube layer.
Delete the Center Brown Circle template layer. 

Paste the tube again as a new layer.
If you’re using the one I did, Resize 30%.
Move into position – see my tag for reference. 

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 96 – position just above your white canvas at the top right and bottom left.
El 81:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 41:  Resize 10%/Duplicate 3x’s
El 7:  Resize 70%/Duplicate
El 77:  Resize 30%
El 56:  Flip/Duplicate/Mirror
El 95:  Resize 90%/Flip
El 95 again:  Resize 30%
El 85:  Resize 30%
El 84:  Resize 30%
El 83:  Resize 25%
El 43:  Resize 70% 

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Resize 60%
Duplicate 3 times for a total of 4 mask layers, and move each one so that it peeks out from behind the tag at each corner – see my tag for reference.

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #3a1800
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel 2x’s:
