“Muted Winter” is a
gorgeous tagger size scrap kit created by Tiny Turtle Designs and can be
purchased here.
This tutorial was written
assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s
get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete Raster 1 layer.
Highlight 1.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give the paper a slight
Inner Bevel:
Highlight 2.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 24
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give it the same slight
Inner Bevel.
Highlight 3.
Repeat the above step.
Copy and paste Element 17
as a new layer.
Resize 7%
Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen
Duplicate the element and
resize 70%/Duplicate and resize 70%
You should now have 3
stars that range from big to small.
Line the stars up horizontally
in the top right corner of the small rectangle paper - see my tag for
reference.
Duplicate the medium and
small stars and move them into position horizontally.
Merge Visible all the
stars.
Duplicate
Mirror
Flip and move into
position over the lower rectangle paper.
Highlight 4.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1
Into Selection.
If you’re using the same
tube as I did, deselect.
Copy and paste your tube
as a new layer over the paper layer.
Mirror the tube and move
into position – see my tag for reference.
Give your tube a drop
shadow.
Duplicate the tube and
resize just a bit large and shut the layer off for now.
Highlight the template
layer (4).
Click anywhere outside of
it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the working
tube layer.
Selections/Modify/Inside
Outside Feather:
Both checked
Feather Amount: 25
OK
Tap the delete key until the
edges of the tube are feathered nicely.
Open up the duplicate tube
layer.
Change the Opacity of
this tube layer to Soft Light.
Move into position – see my
tag for reference.
Tap the delete key to
feather the edges.
Duplicate the tube layer
and shut this layer off for now.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give the paper the same
slight Inner Bevel.
Highlight 5.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Use your Eraser Tool to
erase any of the dotted line you can see through the tube edges.
Duplicate the dotted
line.
Merge Down.
Highlight 6.
Click on it with your
Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13
Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Give the paper the same
slight Inner Bevel.
Highlight 8.
Merge Down.
7 & 8 should now be
on the same layer.
Click on both rectangles
with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 16
Into Selection.
Re-open the last duplicated tube layer and move into position over the paper layer – see my tag for reference.
Re-open the last duplicated tube layer and move into position over the paper layer – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template
layer.
Add your
elements. I used:
1: Resize 70%/Duplicate/Flip
89: Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
87: Resize 70%/Free rotate Left 90 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
77: Resize 40%/Duplicate/Resize 60%/Mirror
16: Resize 50%
18: Resize 25%/Duplicate 70%/Duplicate 2x’s
61: Resize 55%
89: Resize 55%
55: Resize 55%
62: Resize 40%
110:
52: Resize 25%/Flip/Use Pick Tool to Flatten/Zoom
in and use Eraser Tool to erase a little bit of the leaf at the base to make it
look like the leaves are wrapped around the base.
Highlight your white
background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into
Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #39322a
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand
by 2.
New Raster layer below
the name layer.
Flood fill with #dfc7ad
Adjust/Add Remove
Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome
checked
Noise: 68%
OK
Deselect.
Merge Visible both name
layers.
Close out your white background.
Save your tag as a PNG.
