Supplies Needed

 

3 tubes of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Sandi Baker which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

Font of choice – I used Badoga here

Rachel Designs Masks 822 & 833 here

My template 197
here

Plugs Ins used:
Brush strokes – Crosshatch

“Blessed” is a PTU tagger size scrap kit created by Moonshine Dezinez and can be purchased from Pics for Design here

 This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~ 

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Highlight the background layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
Ok
Flood fill the background layer #ffffff.

Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 2
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Repeat the above steps with
Template Layer 2.

Highlight Template Layer 3.
Copy and Paste Element 10 as a new layer just over the template layer.
Resize 45%
Move into position over the template – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate the element.
Mirror it and move into position over the other side of the template.
Highlight the Left frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
Copy and paste Paper 7 as a new layer below the frame and move into a position you like.
Right click on the paper in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
In your layers pallet move the original paper below the right frame.
Repeat the above step.
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer.
Copy and paste Element 64 as a new layer just below the right frame.
Resize the element 45%
Move into a position you like.
Highlight the frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
Highlight the element layer and right click on it in your layers pallet.
Choose “Promote Section to layer” from the submenu
Deselect.
Move the original element just below the right frame in your layers pallet.
Repeat the above step.
Deselect.
Delete Template Layer 3.

Highlight Template Layer 4.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above steps with Template Layers 5 and 6.

Highlight Template Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Apply Brush strokes – Crosshatch:
Use Same Settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Template Layer 10.

Highlight Template Layer 11.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste you tube as a new layer – if you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 40%
Move into a position you like – see my tag for reference.
Give the tube a drop shadow.
Highlight the Template layer and click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer in your layers pallet.  Right click on it and choose “Promote Section to layer” from the submenu.
Delete the original tube layer.
Do Not Deselect.
Just below the tube layer, paste your tube again and change the Blend Mode to Soft Light.
Move into a position you like. 
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to layer” from the submenu.
Delete the original tube layer.
Change the Blend Mode of the promoted tube layer to Soft Light.
Highlight the paper layer in your layers pallet.
You should still be Selected (marching ants showing the shape of the template), if not then highlight the template layer and click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the paper layer.
Selections/Modify/Select Selections Borders:
Both Sides and Anti Alias checked
Border Width: 9
OK
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine:

Give that same bevel to both tube layers.
DO NOT DESELECT.
Highlight the paper layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel again using these settings:

Give that same bevel to both tube layers.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat all the steps above with Template Layers 8 and 9 using different tubes except use the papers as follow:
Template Layer 9: Paper 7 – Mirror it before copying it.
Template Layer 8: Use Paper 9.

 Copy and paste Element 24 as a new layer.
Resize 45%
Duplicate 3x’s for a total of 4.
Move them into position behind the paper layer of the top right tube – see my tag for reference.
Merge together the 4 elements.
Duplicate and Resize 90%
Move into position behind the paper of the Left tube.
Duplicate the merged element and Resize 85%.
Move into position behind the last paper of the last tube. 

Open up Paper 5.
Shift + D and close out the original.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 20%
OK
Copy.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Template Layer 12.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Paste the Paper Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise 64%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Template Layer 13. 

Add your elements.  I used:
El 66:  Resize 35%
El 59:  Resize 55%/Mirror
El 11:  Resize 20%
El 45:  Resize 15%/Duplicate/Flip
El 4:  Resize 50%
El 4 (again):  Resize 40%
El 20:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 75%/Free Rotate Right 20
El: 82:  Resize 15%/Duplicate
El 83:  Resize 50%
El 90:  Resize 10%/Duplicate/Flip/Resize 70%

Highlight your white Canvas.
Select All.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply mask 833.
Resize 110%
Merge Group. 

New Raster Layer just above the mask layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply mask 822.
Resize 110%
Merge Group.
Change the Blend Mode to Difference. 

Add your copyrights.

 Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #1e1e23
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Duplicate

In your color pallet change the foreground color to #d2d0e1
Give both name layers a slight Inner Bevel:

Move the lighter name below the darker name in your layers pallet and move the lighter name layer slightly to the right and up.
Merge the darker name layer down to the lighter name layer.

Make Some Waves

 


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Janna Prosvirina which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

“Make Some Waves” is a DAH Exclusive  PTU Tagger Size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer. 

Copy and paste Element 13 as a new layer just above Template Layer 9.
Move it into position so that the left side of the element aligns with the left side of Template layers 8 and 9. 
Make your Selection Tool active set on rectangle and section off the right side of the element:

Edit/Cut
Deselect.
Edit/Paste as new layer.
Move the element to the right so that it aligns with the right side of the templates.

Male your Eraser Tool active and erase enough of the area that overlaps to make both pieces of the frame create a big frame that fits over the templates perfectly.

Merge Visible both element layers. 

Repeat the above steps with the same element to create the same "frame" to fit over Template Layers 3 and 4.

Highlight Template Layer 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 2.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Template Layer 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Template Layer 4.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Template Layer 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Duplicate
Lock this layer by clicking the lock icon at the top of the layers pallet.
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass -
Match your settings to mine:

Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Multiply.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above steps with Template Layer 6.

Highlight Template Layer 7.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel. 

Highlight Template Layer 9.
Repeat the above step. 

Highlight Template Layer 10.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper the same slight Inner Bevel.

Repeat the above step with Template Layer 11 and 12.

Highlight Template Layer 13.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel. 

Highlight Template Layer 16.
Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
Template layers 14, 15, and 16 should now all be on the same layer.
Click on each template with your Magic Wand.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Nosie: 35%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

In your layers pallet:
Move Template Layer 19 down to be just over Template Layer 17.
Move Template Layer 25 down to be just over Template Layer 19.
Move Template Layer 27 to be just over Template Layer 25.
Highlight Template Layer 27 and Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
And Merge Down once more.
All 4 template layers should now be on the same layer.
Make your Magic Wand active and click on each square.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer over the merge layer.
Resize the paper 60%
Move into a position over the merged template layer that you like.
Right click on the paper layer in the layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the Original Paper layer.

Highlight Template Layer 28 and Merge Down.
Move the merged down to be just over Template Layer 20.
Merge Down.
Merge Down again.
All 4 (frame) template layers should now all be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster Layer.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Template Layer 22.
Move it UP in the layers pallet to be just beneath Template Layer 24.
Highlight Template Layer 22 and Merge Down.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster Layer.
Paste (Paper 20 should still be in memory) Into Selection.
Apply the same slight Inner Bevel.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Template Layer 23.
Merge Down
Click on each template shape with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer.
Resize 60% and move into a position you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Deselect.
Delete the template and Original Paper layer.

 

Copy and paste your tube and move into position.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, Resize 50%. 

If your tube did not cover template 29 go ahead and delete it, unless you’d like to keep it and cover it with an element (and then delete it). 

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 26:  Resize 75%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 21:  Resize 25% and 60%/Lower the Opacity to 57/Duplicate 2x’s and Mirror one of them
El 38:  Resize 25% and 50%
El 39:  Resize 25% and 80%/Duplicate and resize as you like/lowering the Opacity on some of them
El 63:  Resize 25% (delete the template)
El 24:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 85:  Resize 50%/Mirror
El 92:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 16:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate
El 32:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
El 50:  Resize 20%
El 51:  Resize 20%
El 42:  Resize 20%
El 78:  Resize 45%

Highlight the white background layer.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group. 

New Raster Layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 20 Into Selection.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group.
Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Hue

Add your copyrights. 

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #002800
Background: #a4d02f
Set the stroke to 1.0

Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 1
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:
Match your settings to mine:


Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform checked
Noise: 20%
OK
Deselect.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

 


Supplies Needed

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer. 

Highlight Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Spatter:
Spray Radius; 15
Smoothness: 5
OK
Apply same effect once more.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Spatter:
Use same settings
OK
Copy and paste Element 104 as a new layer over the paper and move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer. 

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and Paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Lock the layer by clicking on the lock icon at the top of the layers pallet.
Adjust/Blur/Radial Blur:
Match your settings to mine –

OK
Copy and paste Element 30 as a new layer over the paper layer.
Resize 55%
Move into position over the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Blend mode of the element to Dodge.
Highlight the paper layer.
Selections/Modify/Select Selections Border:
Click “Both Sides” and “Anti Alias”
Border Width: 4
OK
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 20%
OK
Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Create a 700 x 700 blank canvas
Flood fill with #f2b000
Copy.
Do Not close this out as we’re going to use it again later on.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Stitches layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster layer.
Paste (the yellow canvas you copied) Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Large Rectangle Layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 7 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like – just make sure to keep the flare image out of the rectangle.
In your layers pallet right click on the paper and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original paper layer.
Highlight the Promoted layer in your layers pallet.
Selections/Modify/Select Selections Border –
Use same settings.
OK
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Use same settings
OK
Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Element 15 as a new layer over the paper.
Resize 70% and change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Copy and paste Element 82 as a new layer. 
Resize 30% and chance the Blend Mode to Exclusion.
Make your Pick Tool active and turn the spaceship slightly – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your Tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, resize 45%

Add your elements.  I used: (see tag for placement reference)
El 67:  Resize 60%/Duplicate 3x’s
El 35:  Resize 20%/Duplicate 2x’s/Mirror and flip one of them.
El 63:  Resize 70%
El 76:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
El 74:  Duplicate/Mirror
El 34:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror 

Highlight the white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste Element 105 as a new layer just above the paper.  Move into a position you like.
Merge Down.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #000000
Set the stroke to 1.0
Type your name.
 Convert to Raster Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Copy and paste that yellow canvas you made earlier as a new layer just below your name.
Right click on it and choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Close out the original yellow layer.
Be sure the yellow name is highlighted.
Apply Noise effect accept change the Noise amount to 40
Ok.
Highlight the black name layer.
Merge Down. 

Copy and paste Element 102 as a new layer.
Move into position near the bottom - see my tag for reference.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Move the original yellow layer just above this layer. (keep it closed out)
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose "Promote Section to Layer".
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 40%
OK
Delete the original element layer.
