Don't Be a Crab



Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Paola Zunico and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.

Font of choice – I used Connoisseurs here

My Forum Signature template 247 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch

 “Don’t Be Crabby” is a tagger size scrap kit created by me, HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven.  You can visit my designing blog here.
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.

Highlight the Background layer.
Copy and paste Paper 12 as a new layer.

Highlight Layer 1.
Copy and paste el 26 as a new layer.
Resize 75%
Move into position over the template layer.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Layer 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 15 as a new layer.
Resize 60% and move it into position so that it covers all of the template that can be seen.
Right click on the paper in your layers pallet.
Choose Promote Section to Layer.
Deselect.
Delete the original paper layer.

Open up el 7.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Section off a small area of the frame.
(keep this element open throughout the tutorial as we’ll be using it for the pattern)

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Layer 3.
Click on both lines with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the pattern of the element you sectioned out.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste el 28 as a new layer.
Move into position over Layer 5.
Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 75%
Move into position over Layer 6.
Delete both template layers.

Highlight Layer 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the template layer.
Flood fill with the pattern of el 7.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 4.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer over the template layer.
Move into a position you like.
Right Click on the paper in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer”
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Don’t delete the original Paper 2 layer.
Repeat the above step with Layer 8 and Layer 9.

Highlight Layer 7.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the element pattern.
Deselect.
Apply Brush Strokes using same settings.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
38:  Resize 25%
25:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Lower Opacity to 34
24:  Resize 20%
23:  Resize 15%
51:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Free Rotate Left 20 degrees
22:  Resize 35%
52:  Resize 35%
46:  Duplicate/Resize 60%
47:  Resize 25%

Add your copyrights.

Add your name –
Foreground and Background: #000000
