Supplies Needed

Plug Ins used:
Greg’s Factory Output Vol II – Pool Shadow
Brush Strokes – Crosshatch and Sprayed Strokes

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Highlight the background layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700 ok
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 2 layers.
Highlight 1.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 2.
Use your Selection Tool set on Rectangle and section out a green area of your choosing.
Copy.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Overlay Into Selection.
Change the Properties to Burn.
Copy and paste Haunted House as a new layer above the Overlay.
Resize 20%
Move into position over the Overaly – see my tag for reference.
In your layers pallet, right click your mouse on it.
Choose “Promote Section to Layer”.
Delete the original house element layer.
Deselect.
Make you Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Section out the entire house element of the promoted layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Note: The reason for doing this is because the element is so large, when you put a drop shadow on it you’ll have a shadow on the edge of your tag as well. This step is just to get rid of the overhang that you can’t see.
Highlight 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Make Paper 2 active and using your Selection Tool section out a dark area of the paper.
Copy
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Copy and paste Spider Web as a new layer over the paper.
Resize 25%
Move into a position you like.
Right click on it in your layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.
Change the Properties to Luminance (Legacy).
Delete the original spider web.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight 3.
Repeat the above step accept omit the spider web.
Highlight 4.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Make Paper 2 active (and deselect the dark area that you just copied)
Copy.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
To the paper apply Brush Strokes – Sprayed Strokes 2x’s:
Stroke length: 18
Spray Radius: 13
OK
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 41
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK
Highlight 5.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #0b1e2f
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II – Pool Shadow:
Use default settings accept change the Intensity to 180.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer under the flood fill layer.
Flood fill with #f1ab23.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 63%
Noise: 63%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Make Paper 2 active.
Use your Selection Tool and section out an area of the green paper.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
DO NOT give the paper layer a drop shadow yet.
Highlight 7.
Repeat the above step.
Merge Down so both green squares are now on one layer.
Copy and paste Witch 1 as a new layer over the merged paper layer.
Resize 18%
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Right click on the witch in the layers pallet and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.
Delete the original witch layer.
Change the Properties of the promoted layer to Soft Light.
Highlight 9.
Merge Down.
Layers 9 and 10 should now be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #0a141d.
Apply the same Noise effect.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Add your elements. I used:
Spider 2: Resize 5% and 80%/Duplicate 3x’s
Pumpkin 2: Resize 10%/Duplicate/Resize 75%
Pumpkin 1: Resize 10% and 60%
Witch 1: Resize 15%
Highlight the white background.
Select All.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Flip
Apply the mask.
Resize 110% 2x’s
Add your copyrights.
Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #000000
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2.
Flood fill with #a53794
Apply the same noise effect.
Deselect.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #8cc63f
Make your Target Tool active and barely bump it along the bottom of your name to give it a hint of green color.
Close out your white background.
Save your tag as a PNG.
