Stardancer


 
Supplies

1 tube and 1 image of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Monica N. Galvin which can be purchased from PSP Tube Stop.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Annabelle.  I’m sorry I couldn’t find a link

Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 500
OK
New Raster layer
Send to bottom
Flood fill white
Delete the top layer and text layer.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 25 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste “StarDance Orignal” layer as a new layer.
Move the image into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Luminance (Legacy)
Lower the Opacity to about 34.
Delete the template layer.

The image needs to be feathered so the edges aren’t so sharp in appearance.
Use your Freehand Selection Tool and surround the image – letting the line touch the left and right edges of the image layer while keeping away from the top and bottom of the image.
Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather:
Both checked
Feather amount:  40
OK
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key until you have the feathered effect you want.
Deselect.

Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 24 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Rectangle 3 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the same tube as I did, I resized it 80%.
Position it over the left Rectangle.
Duplicate/Position over the right rectangle.

Highlight the Left rectangle paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase the part of the tube you don’t want to see.
Deselect.

Highlight the Right rectangle paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer above it.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Propeties to Muliply.
Lower the Opacity to about 65.

Add your elements.  I used:
From the tube I used Stars, Aura, and Aura 2 layers.
26:  Reisze 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
48:  Resize 25%
17:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
66:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
13:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Merge down/Duplicate/Mirror
36:  Resize 25%
91:  Resize 25% and 50%/Duplicate/Duplicate and mirror both rose layers.
44:  Resize 40%/Mirror/Free rotate L 35%/Flip
Element 2:  Resize 90%
Element 1:  Resize 25%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your name.
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1  - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100%
Opacity Drop Off:  Fat
Color: white
OK

Resize all layers 80%.
