Gone Fishin'

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift +D and close out the original.
Delete the copyright layer.
Highlight the background layer.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 700
Flood fill white.
All layers will be given a slight inner bevel :
(accept for one layer and I’ll let you know which one)



Highlight Circle Layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste a paper of choice as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Delete the template layer.
DO NOT DESELECT.

Copy and paste the Cabin as a new layer.
Resize 60%.
Move into position within the circle.
Tap the delete key.
DO NOT DESELECT.

Copy and paste the Tree as a new layer.
Resize 90%
Position behind the cabin.
Tap the delete key.
DO NOT DESELECT.

Copy and paste the Boat as a new layer
Resize 50%.
Move into position.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Give the circle, cabin, tree, and boat all the slight inner bevel.
Merge visible the cabin, tree, and boat.
Apply Xero-Porcelain:


Merge down to the Circle layer.

Highlight Thin Rectangle layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste a paper of choice
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the slight inner bevel.

Repeat the above step with Thin Rectangle Layers 2 & 3.

Highlight Circle Background.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste a paper of choice
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle 1.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Copy and paste a paper of choice
Selections/Invert
Hit the delete key.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the slight inner bevel.

Repeat the above step with Circle 2 layer.

Highlight Circle 1 Frame.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/ Expand by 4
Copy and Paste Organizing Tackle below the frame.
Resize 80%.
Move into position and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Circle 2 Frame.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4
Copy and Paste Fishy 2 as a new layer below the frame.
Resize 50%
Free rotate left 50 degrees
Move into position
Tap the delete key.
DO NOT DESELECT.

Copy and Paste Fishy as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Mirror.
Free rotate right 50 degrees
Move into position.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Merge visible both fish layers.
Give it a slight inner bevel and apply the Xero-Porcelain like before.

Add your embellishments. I used:
(apply the slight inner bevel to all)
Flag: Resize 60%
Word art 1: Resize 50%
Rod: Resize 70% Free rotate right 50 degrees
Worm 2: Resize 25% Free rotate left 50 degrees
Bobber: Resize 30%
Open Tackle: Resize 50%
Minnow Pale: Resize 50%

I thought my tag looked a bit dark. So I brightened each layer a little.
Adjust/Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast
Brightness: 10
Contrast: 10
OK
I applied it again until I got the brightness I liked.

Highlight your white canvas.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 85%.
