Hello Fall


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Marta Sarmiento which can be purchased from Digital Art Heaven

Font of choice – I used Laughing and Smiling here

Vix mask 451 and 452 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 3 (from the Frames folder) as a new layer.
Free rotate Left 90 degrees.
Resize 85%

Copy and paste Frame 8 (from the Frames folder) as a new layer.

Move both elements into exact position –
See my tag for reference.

Highlight the round frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 20.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Into Selection Paper 4.
New Raster layer above the paper layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.  Change the Properties to Color.
Deselect for now and add the following elements below the frame: (see my tag for placement and don’t worry about what overhangs the frame.  We’ll clean that up in a bit)-

E032:  Resize 40%
E039:  Resize 60%
E022:  Resize 40%
E027

Highlight the round frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 20.
Selections/Invert
Highlight each element that overhangs the frame and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight the vertical wood frame.
Click inside of each square with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
Copy and paste Paper  2 as a new layer below the frame.  Move it into a position you like (I positioned the far upper left corner below the frame).
Right click on the paper in your layers pallet.
Choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the sub menu.
Delete the original paper layer.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer below the frame layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect and lower the Opacity of the tube layer to about 57.

Copy and paste Fr05 (from the Frames folder) as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Duplicate this element 2x for a total of 3.
To one of them – Flip.
Move all 3 into position so the leave peak out of the left side of the wood frame – see my tag for reference.
Merge Visible all 3 elements.
Duplicate and move so they peek out of the right side of the frame.

Copy and paste Fr05 once more as a new layer.
Move this one into position so the leaves peek outside of the top right round area of the frame.
Duplicate the leaves element and move into position at the bottom right area of the round frame.
Duplicate and move so the leaves peek out of the right side of the round frame.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
BnR010 (from Bow and Ribbon folder):  Resize 50%
E034:  Resize 40%/Duplicate as many times as you like and splash them about here and there amongst the leaves frames.
E08:  Resize 65%
E038:  Resize 85%
E037:  Resize 65%
E010:  Resize 65%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply mask 451.
Merge Group.

Repeat the above step accept apply mask 452 and then move slightly to the right on your canvas.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #b50000

Make your Text Tool active.
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Close out your white background.
Save your tag as a PNG.

Beach Paradise

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Button 1 as a new layer.
Resize 85%
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the circle.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Highlight the frame layer.
Give it a drop shade.
Merge Down.

Copy and paste Button 1 again as a new layer.
Resize 75%.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10.
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Copy and paste BearFriends as a new layer below the circle frame.
Resize 15%
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Sun 1 as a new layer.
Resize 5%
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Close out the merged layer and white background layer.
Merge Visible.
Reopen all layers.
You can move both into better position later on.

Open up Papers 7 and 9.
In your color pallet change the foreground to Pattern and look for Paper 7.
Angle: 0
Scale: 25%
OK

Make your Ellipse Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 400 px x 375 px.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Move into position – see my tag for reference.

In your color pallet change the pattern to Paper 9.
Create a rectangle approximately 225 px x 300 px
Give it the same Inner Bevel.
Duplicate.
Move both rectangles into position – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste Flower Border 1 as a new layer.
Resize 10%
Move it into position below the left edge of the top left yellow rectangle you just created – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate
Free Rotate Right 90 degrees – move into position behind the top of the rectangle, joining them at the corner – see my tag for reference.
Merge Visible both flower borders.
Make your Selection Tool active set on rectangle, mode set to Add (Shift).
Section off each of the flower border that overhangs the rectangle.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate the merged flower border layer.
Mirror/Flip
Move into position behind the lower rectangle.

Add your elements.  I used:
Flower 1:  Resize 15%/Duplicate/Mirror
Leaf 3:  Resize 13%/Duplicate/Mirror
Tree 1:  Resize 15%
Bow 4:  Resize 13%
Button Starfish 1:  Resize 15%
Firefly1:  Resize 10%
Beach Ball:  Resize 12%
Bird 1:  Resize 15%/Mirror
Button Fish 1:  Resize 15% and 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
Beach Sign:  Resize 13%
Turtle:  Resize 5%
Scatter:  Resize 20%
Shell 3:  Resize 3%
Shell 2:  Resize 2%/Mirror

Copy and paste Beach Ball element as a new layer just above the white background.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and Paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name:
Color pallet:
Foreground and Background: #7d4b35
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:
