This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~
Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
800 x 600
Highlight and open up the background layer
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 14 layers, Squares, and Pixel Words layers.
Move both frames and the rectangle in position – see my tag for reference.
Highlight Red Rectangle Frame layer.
In your layers pallet move just above Black Rectangle frame layer.
Highlight Left Top Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100%
Opacity Drop Off: Fat
Color: White
OK
Highlight Right top Square layer.
Repeat the above step.
Highlight Black Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 14 as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Position over the left side of the rectangle.
Duplicate/Position over the right side of the rectangle.
Highlight each paper layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Red Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Black Squares layer.
Click on both squares with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Copy and paste EL 16 as a new layer over the right square.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste El 41 as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Position over the left square.
Duplicate/Position over the right square.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow to the paper layer:
Same settings
Highlight White Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 73%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight Red Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Copy and paste El 11 as a new layer.
Move into position over the paper layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Add your elements. I used:
El 3: Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
El 10: Resize 90%
El 1
El 33: Resize 40%
EL 36: Use Freehand Selection
Tool to choose a glass/Resize 70%/Free rotate Left 10 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
Use your Freehand Selection Tool to choose a bow
Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.
Add your name.
Type your name using the font Impact with the color black.
If you have to, pull it larger and wider.
Convert to Raster layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow
Same settings.
Type your name again use the font Al Sandra in a red color
Apply the same glow effect.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Same settings but change the Noise % to 43.
Copy and paste El 8 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Flip
Position next to your name.
Resize all layers 75%
