Wind Rider


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Sandi Baker which can be purchased from MyTubed Art.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Tribal here

Weescotlass mask 219 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set in Circle.
Create a circle approximately 550 pixels.
Copy and paste Blanket Paper 5 (from Papers 3 folder) Into Selection.
Center it on your canvas.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 37%
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 8
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Grain Paper 3 (from Papers 2 folder) Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Paste your tube again below the tube layer.
Resize larger.
Change the Properties to Luminance Legacy.
Lower the Opacity to about 53.
Move it into position – see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
From the Elements 1 folder:
Frame 1:  Resize 38%/Free rotate Left 55 degrees/Duplicate
Concho Belt 2:  Resize 15%/Duplicate 2x’s
Puffy Cactuslade:  Resize 15%/Duplicate
Design 2:  Resize 5% and 70%/Duplicate 2x’s
From Elements 3 folder:
Frames 6 & 7:  Resize 25%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Grain Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the Mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #1f1b19
Background:  #750401
Stroke: 1.0

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 80%.

Fantasy


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the adorable artwork of Katherine Barber which can be purchased from UpYour Art.  You must have a license to use.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste F5 (from the Frames folder) as a new layer.
Resize 85%
Click inside both open areas of the frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 7.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Copy and paste E1 (from the Elements folder) as a new layer.
Duplicate
Move both tree layers into position below the frame – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste F9 (from the Frames folder) as a new layer.
Duplicate
Resize 75%
Move both frames into position – see my tag for reference.

Highlight the smaller frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
Selections/Invert
Copy and paste Paper 10 as a new layer below the frame.
Move into a position shows just the sky and clouds within the frame.
Tap the delete key.
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Deselect.
Copy and paste E26 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move into position below the small frame.

Highlight the larger frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
Selections/Invert
Paste Paper 10 as a new layer below the frame.
Move into a position that shows as much grass as possible and some of the clouds.
Tap the delete key.
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Deselect.

Copy and paste E14 (from the Elements folder) as a new layer.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Copy and paste E11 as a new layer.
Duplicate/Mirror
Move both grass layers into position in front of E14.
Merge Visible both of these grass layers.
Duplicate
Merge Down.
Use your Freehand Selection Tool set on Freehand circle around the element – be sure the line touches on both sides and bottom but keep the line very far away from the tip of the grass blades.
Selection/Invert
Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather:
Both checked
Feather amount: 15
OK
Tap the delete button a couple of times to feather the element on the sides and bottom.
Deselect.
Duplicate
Mirror
Move this layer up just a little on your canvas and move behind Element 14 in your layers pallet.

Add your elements.  I used:
E23:  Resize 70%/Duplicate (feather using the same method you did for the grass)
F4 (from the Frames folder):  Duplicate
E67:  Resize 65%
E65:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
E65 again:  Resize 40% and 75%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
E61:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Mirror
B11 (from Bows and Ribbons folder):  Resize 60%/Mirror

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the Mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background:  #3c280b
Stroke: 1.0

Type your name.

Resize all layers 80%.
