Supplies

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of PinUpToons which can now be purchased from CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Aubrey here

Gem Mask 8 here

Plug Ins Used:
Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow

“Over the Hill” is a tagger size scrap kit (also available in full size) created by Dianna of Digicats (and Dogs) and is part of the TKO Birthday Collaboration and can be purchased from TKO Scraps.  You can visit Dianna’s blog here.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 575 x 175 pixels – don’t worry if it’s not centered on the canvas.
Flood fill white.
If you need to center it on your canvas deselect and center it.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 25%
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 4.
Copy and paste Paper 8 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Circle.
Create a circle approximately 425 pixels.
Flood fill white.
Apply the same noise effect.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Centerpiece
Frame 1:  Resize 112%
Bow 2:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
Happy Birthday Banner
Sparkles
Champagne
Piece of Cake:  Resize 80%
Present:  Resize 50%
Streamer:  Resize 40%
Ribbon 1:  Resize 40%
Sparkler:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 – Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity:  100
Opacity Drop Off:  Fat
Color: #ffffff
OK

Resize all layers 80%.
